A model of the eye made from ivory, glass and horn. There are 13 pieces, allowing it to be ‘dissected’ to see how the different structures relate to one another. This one was made in Amsterdam in the 1720s by Paulus Beek, but is based on an earlier model made by Stephan Zick in Nuremberg c.1680
