"Previous results" option: authors can attach previous decision letters, referee reports, and author responses if they believe this will streamline the peer-review process. Authors' cover letter should mention they have chosen this option and should briefly explain the relevant background.
If authors choose the in-or-out option, the editor will either reject or conditionally accept the manuscript in the first round. If a paper is accepted under this policy, it will only be subject to minor revisions.
Starting in 2026, the journal has two additional submission options that authors can choose. One is an in-or-out option. The other is the option to include previous results.
Details are in this thread, and also at the submission page in Scholastica.

In a simple lending model with informational asymmetry, we investigate the effect of bank market structure on the amount of collateral provided by firms. We analyze the decision about the amount of wealth to pledge as collateral to secure a loan.

Higher fertility slowly increases the ratios of workers to retirees, easing the challenge of financing pensions due to population aging. Simulation studies differ on output impacts; it is unknown if differences are due to models or country characteristics.

This paper makes a small twist to a seemingly simple assumption in the Solow model: instead of agents saving a fraction of their entire income, as in the classic Solow model, they here save a fraction of their capital income.

This paper develops a theory and an empirical strategy to estimate the welfare gains from trade in economies with frictional local labor markets. Our welfare formula nests standard market structures and adds an adjustment margin via the employment rate.

This paper analyses the impact of robots on workers' wages in the manufacturing sector, with a particular focus on relative wages for workers with different levels of education and in different occupations.

This paper develops an endogenous growth model that incorporates information carrier technology, highlighting that knowledge loss during storage and low communication efficiency hinder innovation.

This paper uses employer–employee panel data to exploit gaps between observed and recently forecasted GDP growth in export destinations to estimate the effects of unexpected demand shocks on worker compensation.
Based on these impacts, the study estimates that the JRS cost between €2,260 and €5,950 per job-year saved. This is notably lower than similar programs in other countries, likely due to differences in income levels and JRS design.
Participation in the JRS demonstrably influenced both the likelihood of firm survival (extensive margin) and employment dynamics within surviving firms (intensive margin).
Their findings reveal a clear positive impact: firms that participated in the JRS maintained higher employment levels than those that did not, with this effect lasting at least until the end of 2021.

A team of @LatvijasBanka economists investigated whether the Job Retention Schemes (JRS) in Latvia during the Covid-19 pandemic helped save jobs. Using firm-level data, they assessed JRS impacts on employment both during and after the height of the pandemic.

Socio-economic differences in longevity have fuelled a debate about pension systems' regressive bias towards groups with a high life expectancy. This paper looks at distributional implications of such pooling, as well as indexing benefits to prices and wages.
*Table 9: Backlash vs. Persuasion Effects over Time*
This graph illustrates the short-term backlash followed by longer-term shifts in public opinion, showing how abortion precedents initially provoke opposition but eventually lead to increased acceptance.
*Table 7: Summary of Abortion Attitudes by Political Affiliation*
This table summarizes shifts in public opinion on abortion legality, segmented by political affiliation after abortion-related court rulings.
Here are three relevant graphs and tables.
*Figure 1: Impact of Circuit Court Rulings on State Abortion
Regulations*
This graph displays the percentage likelihood of states enacting or maintaining restrictive abortion laws following pro-abortion or anti-abortion court rulings.
While initial backlash to abortion rulings is common, long-term effects suggest that legal precedents often reshape societal norms.

Pro-abortion court rulings can increase Republican opposition to abortion by as much as 20%, showing how judicial decisions can polarize public opinion.

States are 18% more likely to restrict abortion access within 2 years of an anti-abortion judicial precedent, illustrating the profound influence of Circuit Court rulings.
