Does AI study philosophy, or does it already “know?”

Which is more important, the mind or the body?

Quote from my review of Meditations - by Marcus Aurelius. The quote reads, “But for an internal mindset - a writing that Marcus Aurelius meant for himself, and no one else: I also agree with him. And I think back to my life - and some of the more traumatic things that have happened to me, and I also like to think: I'm only a victim if I allow myself to be a victim. Things happen - and worse things may be on the horizon. But live the life you're given now, and choose to enjoy it. Be kind and generous and slow to anger, and don't hate those who are unkind and ungenerous and quick to anger.”

There is a highlighted part, which is, “I think back to my life.”

I wrote this a couple of years ago, in my review of Meditations - and I came back to it after finishing Epictetus.

The early church read and admired Epictetus, by the way. There are even multiple Orthodox saints that bear his name.

I just picked up The Natural Way of Things, on a recommendation from a friend. I’m about halfway through. Pretty dark, so far - but not a bad read.

😂😂😂

Make. It. Happen. 😂

I haven’t read it, either. I read The Dispossessed last year, though… so I may read an N.K. Jemisin (who I haven’t read ANYTHING of) and then come back to Left Hand next year.

Hot water as coffee every day is such a boss move.

Reminds me of when my grandma forgot to add any coffee to her coffee and drank hot water. Eventually she realized it, but she said it did the same thing for her, so she just rolled with plain hot water in the morning.
