So postpartum had actually made my anxiety pretty quiet and my depression way worse, and because of the world’s events I’m now back to anxiety being my big bad. 😬 don’t know if that’s progress or not but here we are.

Just a reminder that parental leave in the US is a joke. I get 8 weeks paid which isn’t terrible (but still isn’t long enough since the church I work at’s daycare doesn’t take kids til 3 months old), and just found out today that my husband gets 0 paid leave unless he uses PTO/sick leave. 🫠

Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy is a thing every single pregnant person should do because, holy heck, in 3 weeks, it has completely changed the level of pain I've been in. Also very excited for my next appointment, where I'll also get a prenatal massage. God bless PTs.

Being a person who deeply cares for the world is draining right now, understandably so. But spending time with these kids will forever give me such hope.

At a youth group retreat, and the kids are alright. One student named that the evidence of God at work in the world is here in this space/with these people. Another named they didn’t have to wonder if the people around them cared bc they just knew.

definitely not the only one!

no matter how early I go to bed, I cannot fathom waking any earlier than this. i used to be a person who Got Ready™️ every day, but it was because my work hours started later. especially during pregnancy, I'm getting 9-12 hours of sleep at night depending on the night, and still waking up w/o energy.

to people who wake up before 7 AM regularly... how do you do it? I roll out of bed at 7:30 (because my husband gets my son ready for school), throw on whatever clothes are clean, don't put on any makeup and just brush my hair, and leave my house at 8 (ish) to get myself to work by 8:30 ish.
