an illustration made in procreate of a mock movie poster for an imaginary mike leigh film called “nobody care me” starring demi lardner and libby watson. the imaginary film is rated r for language, and produced/distributed by stressed mummode, witch night, and the goocrew studio. the poster is comprised of of three vignettes. the central image has demi and libby dramatically backlit, stripes of light filtering through the window blinds, cutting across their faces, while demi lights a cigarette off of libby’s own hands-free nose cigarette. in the bottom left image, demi, brow furrowed in contemplation, smokes while gazing into the distance. and in the bottom right image, libby is caught in a moment of distress, head in hand, two cigarettes on the go, and a bottle of japanese gin close by. in the top left corner of the poster, a quote from the new yorker praising the imaginary film reads: “ exquisite…an absolute triumph”.
