In small schools it is really tricky - our leadership team consisted of me (the head), the senco and the business manager. Teaching staff had subject leadership responsibilities but pretty much everything else was me. It can be difficult!!

Allocated by the needs of the children. They both (only have 1 full time and 1 part time) lead RWI groups and then their timetables are arranged so that all children who need extra support or interventions get what they need. Also provide extra cover for Forest School if needed.

TES states that if a headteacher wants to leave at the end of the autumn term, then they have to resign by 30 September?

We are not all happy about this at all. Far from it.

Don’t use it at all - think we looked at it during first lockdown but that’s it.

Parents can spend the morning with their child to see how they learn maths/phonics/English - really positive comments and a greater understanding of how their child learns. Maximum of 3 parents per morning and we offer one session a year.

I agree - there is an awful lot of training to do and sometimes this can be tricky because you don’t fully understand the system at the start (not at all sure I do now to be fair!) but, once you have got it and you get used to it, it can do some very clever time saving things.
