Für meinen Problemfall (Capture One Pro) schaue ich ab und an im Netz, aber selbst die Reddit-Community sagt noch: "Das ist ein Grund, weshalb ich weiterhin Windows nutze".

Also mache ich mir vorerst keine Hoffnungen (...plus: Ich möchte die Software auch gar nicht wechseln, die ist ansonsten top).

Wie du sicher weißt: Aber nicht aus Gutmütigkeit, sondern um sicherzustellen, dass ihnen die (Kreativ-)Industrie auch weiter schön artig und langfristig die Stange hält.

Machen wir uns nichts vor:
Da gab es einen immensen, finanziellen Anreiz für Adobe.

Und solange der bei Linux fehlt.. 😥

Wenn die Software, die ich nutze, mal ohne super duper Umwege auf Linux lauffähig wäre.. würde ich auch längst Linux nutzen. 🫠

Last but not least... I'm not even using Adobe products. 🫠 In late 2024 I switched to Capture One Pro and if there's some more things to do, I use Affinity Photo or Publisher.

Also, I'm using editing synonymously for developing as if I stood in a darkroom (not what you think), but actually I'm sitting in my chair. Am not talking retouching, which may be a part of the whole thing, but where we tend to alter reality by e.g. removing parts of the image.

First and foremost, editing is a partial discipline of photography. For many years photography by itself has been considered art. But without the editing, you'll most likely only get some flat-ass images as "the perfect image out of camera" barely exists.

Most empowering feedback I got? 🫠

"Oh, it’s Photoshop - I read something about 'art'.
But instead of taking a good photo, you’d rather pimp up a bad one. Sure. You can call that 'art', too."
