This month's episode is about Autistic flow and focusses on these two papers:
Two chickadees sit on a branch, one says: "Whoa! Look!" indicating a light in the sky over the horizon. The other one says: "Pretty!" The first one says "Do you think that's Venus or just a bright star?". The second one looks nervous, stumbling "Oh... uh... yeah it's probably Bemus"
Venus
I've filled my life with friends that I love and who I've found attractive and some of those have turned into (dating) relationships and most of them haven't, but all of it has been great. Being kind has been its own reward, for real, and sometimes it leads to relationships that include sex.
And if you never act like you're entitled to their attention or affection, you'll probably have good relationships.
There are some people in the world that enjoy the hard sell, for sure. Some women like aggressive men, for whatever reason. If that were your deal, I don't think you'd be asking this.
Honestly, the good faith answer is meet people--not just women--and make friends. Like, you can't MAKE people like you, but you can be likeable. You can be kind and supportive and reliable. In that action of being good, you'll find people that will want to be your friend and find you attractive.
I clicked on the quoted post with no idea who I would see. Man, that guy can eat shit forever. He can spend the rest of his life trying to undo the harm he's caused that community, and I'll consider his legacy and whether he deserves forgiveness when he dies, and not a moment before.
I don't live in Quebec anymore, but it would still bring me a lot of joy to see the CAQ absolutely wiped out. Salt the earth after they're gone, don't let them grow back.
Oil companies are on track to make tens of billions in windfall profits from Trump’s illegal war in Iran.
It’s their profiteering that’s driving up prices. It’s them who should pay.
Striking that the Liberals and Conservatives offer the same response to pain at the pump: siphon money out of the public purse instead of Big Oil’s profits.
Proportional representation is the only way. This system sucks.
But given the system we have, the problem is most people didn't pay attention in school. We don't vote for parties here. It may seem like it, but legally we don't, and it gets us into trouble like this.
“The president is clearly enraged at somebody, but the clip provides far too little context to know who exactly is meant to be targeted,” said political analyst Allen Mueller
I know of one person that tried to move to Ghost but they said that they couldn’t host the video content that she creates, so apparently she’s stuck there for the time being. I hope that changes soon, she’s one of the only good Canadian left-wing news sources.

FWIW, I do not like the stress. I’m much happier to wait and hear that everything went fine and everyone is fine. And it is! And they are! Takeoff and touchdown are too anxiety-inducing.
Look, maybe men should take a break from being in elected office all together if they can’t stop with the harassment of, like, every woman around them. This is not a novel idea by any means, but I think we should take it more seriously every day.
3/ Canada must bring sanctions against Israel, cancel the Canada-Israel free trade agreement, implement a real two-way arms embargo, and use every diplomatic and economic tool at our disposal to rein in Israel.
Has it ever? They've always just been where the wind blows them.
Another day, another ceasefire that everyone respects except Israel. Do they just not think they're bound by any rules at all, or...?
This is a problem I see mirrored across so many axes. When people during GamerGate were arguing about whether some of the high-profile victims were nice people or not it was like, so you believe that some people deserve rape threats.
Once you accept that, it’s easy to expand the definition.

The joke is that if people are going to claim that “manned”—in the present era, where we talk about space flight—is neutral, it is equally reasonable to use “womanned” as a gender neutral term. It has never HISTORICALLY been neutral, but that’s irrelevant in context.
The word “man” in the present era is so gendered that it’s the crux of many a plot twist in movies and literature. It may have been neutral once, but it hasn’t been for decades at a minimum.
FYI if you’re talking about the #Artemis II mission and you want to get the spaceflight terminology right, the mission is “crewed,” not “manned.” (NASA made the terminology change official decades ago, so this isn’t new, but a lot of folks just aren’t aware.)
The reaction of Dr Kelsey Young at the Science Desk was one of the best things in the feed but I'd also like to acknowledge the dude in the lower left corner of the control room view doing his own little dance of joy during Jeremy Hansen's discussion of his corona observations. #Artemis
Oh, and the 'Epstein class' is OBVIOUSLY the billionaire class, you absolute numpties, what the hell is wrong with you?
This is the dumbest shit I've ever read.
This author has a 'recognizing a genocide' problem and a 'conflating the criticism of a government and a people' problem.
Avi Lewis on his Jewish anti-Zionist roots: "I come from a long tradition, a multi-generation tradition of Jewish anti-Zionism ... as long as there's been formal pro-Israel Zionist organizations, there's been a tradition that has disagreed with that within the Jewish community."
HOW bad is your bad cholesterol? As someone who has had bad (total and ldl) cholesterol for years, even when I was a skinny, eating-disordered athlete, sometimes it’s just genetic and the best thing to do is get in the statins. They’re cheap as hell even off insurance and really side-effect free.
