Presumably Gold and Prestige pass holders will receive house admission for free as a pass benefit (Kings Dominion has been advertising and selling those passes to customers as being Haunt-inclusive...), but we don't have direct evidence of how this change impacts pass holders yet.

SCOOP: Per direct evidence we have reviewed, #KingsDominion is currently planning to implement a legacy Six Flags-style house upcharge for this year's Haunt. IF CURRENT PLANS STICK, park admission will no longer include houses—house admission will be a separate addon product.
It literally feels like this decision is Six Flags is throwing in the towel in Virginia. Christmas events are a huge here with both WinterFest and Christmas Town regularly seeing large crowds. I hope Kings Dominion feels the pain of this decision for years to come. They'll deserve it.
And for the record, Kings Dominion owes anyone who bought a Kings Dominion 2025 season pass and any KD 2025 season pass addon product significant compensation. These products were bought with the promise of WinterFest and its inclusion was a very notable portion of the value proposition for many.
BREAKING: Per Michael Pegram of @nbcwashington.com, Six Flags has killed Kings Dominion's WinterFest.
I've covered some sad KD developments over the years, but this one easily takes the cake. This is an enormous loss for not only KD but the whole region. Deeply depressing.
As far as we know, Berserker will run this weekend, but the lack of an announcement from KD regarding its imminent closure is very disappointing. Hopefully anyone who loves the ride will be able to make it out there before the end of Winterfest to enjoy this classic one last time!
Anaconda Demolition Permit
Berserker Demolition Permit
BREAKING! @KingsDominionVA has filed demolition permits for TWO attractions with Hanover County—Anaconda (as we previously leaked and as KD later confirmed) AND Berserker, the park's Intamin Looping Starship.

The Berserker Restraints
Anyone else taking any "preventative," "just-in-case" final rides this Winterfest? Anaconda is confirmed dead, but there's always a chance there could be more if Carowinds or Great Adventure are any indicator—and rare, retro flats like Berserker are certainly prime candidates...
It's worth noting that Kings Dominion has officially confirmed our reporting re: Anaconda's removal to multiple local news outlets this morning. RIP 🐍. 🙁

Completely agree. I hate the community's tendency to suddenly decide closing/defunct coasters were excellent when we have years of public opinion to show otherwise. Hoped to inoculate this story from some of that by citing Anaconda's comically poor Captain Coaster ranking in the article.
BREAKING: Kings Dominion's 1991, Arrow Dynamics-made, looping coaster, Anaconda, has already given its final rides and is slated for demolition ahead of the 2025 season. Full story below. 🐍🪦 kdfans.com/2024/anacond...
"I Conquered..." Shirt Featuring Project: 305
I had no idea #KingsDominion released a second shirt featuring Project: 305! Every bit as cheesy and just generally bad as the first, but this will be some mighty rare merch one day! 👀
