So I'm a financial aid officer and got some lovely updates about the new changes the feds are making. It's all shit. The one thing I find interesting though is the changes to what is considered a professional program. Nursing is no longer a professional program, but Theology is :3.

I was thinking of streaming earlier today, but I have a rather unwanted event I have to attend really early tomorrow that will take up the whole working day. I am just going to relax and prepare myself for it.

On a different note, today is not a good brain day. Already been struggling with staying awake today. I am terribly programmed to wanna sleep when I get overwhelmed or don't wanna do something. I'm actively having to fight wanting to sleep and it sucks.

that's what I'm thinking. I feel like a modern take would be one that would not isolate themselves from the world but be part of the world. Being unashamed by it and lifting others up, regardless of their economic state.

The literal like "We have the money. We can just make it all better". I know this is a silly thought, but I like the idea of the Addams spitting in the faces of typical super wealthy people and using the vast fortune to better lives. Anyway, just my silly thought for the day.

Building up communities, paying employees super well, encouraging growth on a personal level. Their house wouldn't be a mansion but something modest. They take all their eccentric hobbies into community centers that's open for anyone to use. building public transit to get around easier.

But more to the point, I feel like another aspect of Addams is that they are always wealthy. I feel like a modern take would emphasis something that a lot of wealthy don't do... which is to share. I would imagine a modern Addams that would invest heavily into the communities they do business in.

Been having this thought about what a Modern Addams Family would look like. From my understanding, Addams Family is a counter culture to what the "normal" american culture would be. It's why I find it funny that the parents are MADLY in love with each other.
