What are people's thoughts on the new #thewitcher ?

I've been really enjoying working with Google's Gemini.
It's like having an editor on tap to bounce ideas off.
Struggling to get your work read?
There's a strategy to fix it.
And it's easier than you would have thought.

Scroll. Stop. Read.
That's the goal.
Your first sentence is the bouncer for your content.
Make it punchy, provocative, or personal.
Ditch the boring intros and dive straight into what matters.
Tired of your words falling flat?
✍️ The secret to catchy writing isn't luck - it's STRUCTURE.
Start with a strong hook, follow with a clear point, and end with a call to action.
Master this simple formula and watch your engagement soar.
Writing is often less of a skill and more of a habit.
You need to focus on the way to make the writing hours happen.
The rest will start to happen by itself.
I think the problem is actually different to what you say. I think they can synthesise and create in very impressive ways. But it remains unintelligent (that is, it is still blind to what it is doing).
Ultimately, it still needs a human to translate any output into something of any value.
This is definitely the real concern with the LLMs as they don't actually have any intelligence - that is, no calibration of the content. This is why human writer's will always be so important
My latest article is here (and it may cause some controversy).
Are you using AI in your writing?
Here, I have a look at some of the benefits.

Expectations definitely need to be a bit different.
Although days when I can't fit in any writing feel like a fail.
The best thing about being a writer is that your research is READING!!
A bit of both.
A rough "feel" that gets attacked by spontaneity.
Cool. I'll have to check it out
What is everyone's favourite read this month?
This is probably the first writing tip to be embedded
Aragorn knew how to stare people away.
I could do with mastering that glare
Although it's not the main reason they are better
Interesting idea.
I can imagine getting hunted by some fantasy beasts is no fun.
I'd probably just starve to death though!
Tell me more.
Why would you recommend it over others?
I need to catch up on this. Heard a lot of good stuff
Interesting. I agree with you about the actual writing. I think it is quite hard to draw such a clear distinction before that. We get our ideas from all over the place, mostly from other work.
Is it that different if we use AI?
(I did say that it was a provocative topic)
Do you think there is any role in using it as a support tool?
For stuff like idea generation and the like.
Yes I think it could be.
I am interested as to how easily that boundary might start to break down.
The odd turn of phrase that gets borrowed, etc.
A very good point- I wasn't specific enough.
I was meaning to support. But in this is my impression that the lines may start to blur.
You can push AI a bit further than many other tools and you can do this slowly, without always noticing
Okay #booksky, time to cause a stir!
What are people's thoughts on the role of AI as a writing support tool?
Sacrilege or a pragmatic use of technology?
I'd love to know your thoughts.
Hi #writersky
I've started a Substack.
I'd love to have you join me to discuss all things writing based.
This is definitely my excuse
There's always room for more
Time to get back on it.
Pass me my keyboard!
