I had a similar experience showing it to a friend. Most of it's still very good but there's an Asian caricature later in the run that's pretty cringe.
I’ve had the same editor since 1967. Many times he has said to me over the years or asked me, Why would you use a semicolon instead of a colon? And many times over the years I have said to him things like: I will never speak to you again. Forever. Goodbye. That is it. Thank you very much. And I leave. Then I read the piece and I think of his suggestions. I send him a telegram that says, OK, so you’re right. So what? Don’t ever mention this to me again. If you do, I will never speak to you again

Yesssss a true aesthetic gem
A chihuahua mix dog (I think - it's small and cute and friendly-looking) poses while wearing a little costume of a MAX Type 1 train, a rail car with stripes on it
A poster for an event done in a retro 80s neon style, with a picture of a light rail train with stripes on the side. "1986-2026, Goodbye, MAX Type 1. April 18, 2026 at Holladay Park. NE Holladay St. and NE 11th Ave. Near the Lloyd Center. 12 p.m. - 3 p.m."
A child wearing a hoodie with MAX Type 1-colored stripes bends over to pick up a blue toy MAX train. They are kneeling next to a person wearing a matching blue TRIMET-themed dress and a Banfield Light Rail Project cap. They hold an OPB microphone
A person poses in a train costume by a large crowd and a bunch of bikes. They have a box decorated to look like a train on their head, and wear an apron depicting rail tracks.
Today was beautifully sunny, and so many people turned out to celebrate public transportation! I love PDX

[REDACTED] was a story I wrote in the classic horror author style: in chunks, to entertain some friends. I'm always surprised/pleased to see how much traction it's gained among short horror fans because its take on the "found footage"/creepypasta angle.
Well you know my vote

Too tall sandwiches should be reclassified as performance art

A movie couple who would definitely have a podcast.
I'm rooting for this and more like it. I've wanted EVs to look more like toys or older vehicles with less frills, and definitely no screens

Helioscope, the workspace I share with two dozen other cartoonists, is celebrating its birthday today. 24 years as a studio, 3 buildings, 76 mentees, 1200 etsy orders, & many, MANY thousands of pages of comics. I'll be posting photos in this thread throughout the day. @helioscopepdx.bsky.social

A very serene afternoon at Laurelhurst Park.
I dunno man, it's kinda like how in the 90s it was pretty weird to believe in UFOs, but then the government was like "there do be some UFOs sometimes"
I think one of the things about bluesky is that for a lot of its users, it represents a kind of retirement from social media. Like I’m tired and I want to get out of the game

We looked at the asshole too long, and now the asshole is looking back at us
LRT: writers rarely get to pick their headlines and I'm sure there's (maybe) some nuance to be found in there. But we really need to move on from "hey look at this asshole" style journalism. Like, as a society
it's never "meet the liberals pushing for nuremberg 2.0" is it?
