It could be the reason, but I feel that due to her not working on as many inventions as the others she lacked the stimuli to keep her engaged. As a Vegapunk, doing science gives her meaning, and she didn't get enough of that, so she ended up yearning for other stimuli, and being a spoiled god helps.
