This surveillance can happen through all sorts of apps, such as video games, news apps, weather trackers, and dating apps.

Columbia Protestor Arrested by ICE Moved to Louisiana Detention Facility On Sunday Mahmoud Khalil’s wife was unable to find the protester at the New Jersey facility he was allegedly detained in. ICE’s system now says he is in Louisiana.

New: Mahmoud Khalil, the Columbia University protester detained by ICE on Saturday, has been moved to an ICE facility in Louisiana, according to ICE's detainee locator system. He is a green card holding legal permanent resident and not charged with a crime.

UPDATE—Mahmoud's attorney says they do NOT know where he is.
They were first told he was sent to an ICE facility in Elizabeth, NJ. But when his 8-month-pregnant wife tried to visit him, she was told he's not there.
They've received reports he may be sent as far away as Louisiana.
