Okay, so this week, I am at a conference and there is an evening event on Friday... so, I think we will do Tuesday/Thursday. Thursday might be low-energy because I'll be at the conference all day.

Everything takes multiple steps and anything can go wrong in those steps. It’s really stressful for me to even have these disruptions happen, so I’m pretty motivated to fix them, but it takes a lot out of me emotionally. Aabstract is very handy in ways I am not. It takes both of us.

We were finally able to put everything together, and then went through the daunting process of putting the door back onto the oven. Almost all of this was a 2-person job for us…

What people don’t tell you about owning your stuff, is that repair/replacements are never actually straight forward.

So, then we took apart the oven door, and replaced the hinge. I also cleaned inside where we couldn’t reach before… ANYWAY, that was a whole thing too, because the new hinge had holes for screws that were not threaded. I used to be a bike mechanic, so I know how this works. I threaded it.

We replaced the igniter with a new one, and everything seemed to be going to plan—except that our range is rare and there are almost no how-tos out there. Nobody mentioned how absurdly difficult it is to put the door back on… during that process, we broke one of the hinges…

Okay, I basically turned my brain off after the oven thing. Full story is that our igniter was in its way out. It was a slow burn, literally, so it wasn’t super obvious that it had been happened over the years.

To change the igniter, we had to remove the door and a bunch of other things…

Apparently, winged eyeliner is out. I watched some videos. I thought I’d been doing winged eyeliner, but it turns out I was never skilled enough.
