This is me being very brave, a while back: last minute trip for a job interview, didn’t get it, and very much needed something as I was done with my PhD and had no job lined up. But I still went around to see the things. It worked out okay, dear one.

Spent the last part of the evening with a gin and tonic and doing some lovingkindness meditation. A nice way to wrap things up.

Anyone I know done any meditation / mindfulness teaching certification? Been thinking about that some and curious about people’s experiences.

Oh damn, nine years ago I successfully defended my dissertation: “Opaque Redemption: Whiteness, Theology, and the Politics of the Human.”

Never revised it for publication or anything but such a formative experience and group of people.

I wouldn’t recommend reading it, haha. But it is. The chapter “Against (White) Redemption” has some lines of thinking that have really stayed with me and is something I published separately in the journal Political Theology.
