That looks fairly standard, tbh.

Sorry to hear that. After a year it should have settled down, I'd have thought.

I had a fairly major thing done a few years ago. I didnt Google it. My brother did, and it scared him rigid. I relied on them to discuss it with me. They gave me an A4 sheet of paper explaining the required pre-op, and that was it. I got a lot more info from my GP

In France they do medical stuff to you. You don't really get to pick and choose. Its something I found a bit difficult to get my head around. You can say yes and no, but I wouldn't fancy my chances 'demanding' an MRI.
Unless you go private, obvs.

I'm not entirely sure what it was, tbh. It felt like an x-ray but my ankle was on an electronic plate gizmo with LED lights on it. There was no shielding or suchlike.
Anyway, its very swollen and throbbing a bit. I have anti inflammatory drugs, and others to stop you feeling sick form them.

Got to the pharmacy and they're out of plastic support boots. They've had to order one, which with any luck will be here this afternoon. Just when it was all going so smoothly.

Right. Got to the hospital at 8.30 Two hours later and we're on our way to the pharmacy to pick up my plastic support boot ( thats how it works here). Triage, orthopaedic nurse, x-rays, doctor, prescriptions, instructions, done. Two hours!

Ive Just been triaged and am in the waiting room. The TV says average waiting time is 30 mins. I can live with that.
Its throbbing a bit now.

I have only ever found the healthcare to be excellent here, though the French moan about it constantly.

Will be.

Me too. This is regular territory for me. Not since I was a lot younger though. I have had two or three casts in the past. I forget which leg, but I think its the left, as usual.

It's currently elevated, smothered in ibuprofen gel, abd wrapped in an ice pack.
I'm supposed to be driving down to Barceloba in two weeks. I dont think that's going to happen.
