Could Reform UK bring about economic and social recovery for Scotland and kill SNP/Labour?

Historically a Scotsman and his money were hard to separate but we have had a generation of mad, worthless spending by a centralised, social-democratic model that stifles growth. Garwain Towler on Lord Offord

Cindy Yu: No, I am not a Chinese spy Cindy Yu came to Britain from China when she was nine. She’s long put up with jibes that she’s really working for Beijing — but the joke is wearing thin

For what it's worth I've met Cindy Yu and she is a credit to both China and the UK. She and her work are not partisan and greatly helps understanding China and building engaging relations between our two cultures www.thetimes.com/comment/colu...

Lucy Connelly's solicitor was clear in his evidence of what he showed and told her. He explained the sentencing guidelines which constrained her judge & she signed an confirming note. But without a sound recording of him putting this evidence to her & feedback a perception of injustice continues

11 months ago 0 0 2 0

After seeing the CA judgment in the Lucy Connelly appeal I consider that it is essential that whenever solicitors give advice on sentencing to their client everything must be recorded on a mobile phone. Without this, there is no perception of justice being done www.judiciary.uk/wp-content/u...

Ross died last year - a great loss. But there may be a way of getting the Government to avoid the tech bros. Basically we get them interested in Altman "solution" and then steal his clothes and do everything properly

Government today always goes to the commercial market to repurpose commercial software for Government purposes. There is absolutely no appetite for development within the Government. It's wrong but unfortunately that's the consequence of our Civil service

No - fraud is endemic - the stats are completely false and untrue

I don't disagree with you regarding the vulnerability of a retinal scan and the manner in which the tech bros present their solutions as strong and comprehensive.

11 months ago 0 0 1 0

I disagree - part of the social contract between a citizen and government requires absolute identity certification to support social services and eliminate fraud and double dipping. Retinal scanning could be the solution

Since all Companies House records are digital it should be a simple process to find breaches of the PSC rules and automatically revoke their registrations with publication in a rolling update. Companies could then pay a fine and re-apply

It is well argued - I have cited it to people in Alderney and Guernsey who are engaged in the development of wind and tidal power systems which are to integrate with the French power network once they are built and in operation

You make a good case for European autonomy. But we also need to ensure that Apple's Advanced Data Protection tool (ADP) is not available in Europe. No warrant or court order of any kind can be honoured in respect of anything encased within ADP
