We're back at it again today, with 3 back-to-back committee hearings starting at 1:30. Join us in the state House at 12:30 to rally, and 1:30 to tell our elected officials to stop flushing time & resources down the toilet.

Our legislators have spent 11 hours and 58 minutes to-date this year publicly discussing bathroom and locker room bans. What other problems could they be solving instead?
That's a lot of time and tax payer resources that have been flushed down the toilet.

Our State House has wasted countless hours on bathroom bans this year. Instead of fixing real issues, legislators are hyper focused on the bathroom usage of their constituents. Let's see who is spending their time in Concord policing toilets
And three more bills in committee hearing on 04/21!
Let's tell our legislators to stop wasting time & resources policing toilets!
Tuesday 04/21 is a great time to:
(1) Rally in opposition at the State House starting at 12noon
(2) Testify at the State House starting at 1:30pm
(3) Be in community
(4) Urge Ayotte to veto ANY bathroom or locker room ban that comes across her desk
We need to keep the pressure on! We've stopped these bills before, and we can stop them again.
STAY LOUD.

📣 Tell Ayotte to STOP these discriminatory bills. We know that the Governor is our likeliest stop-gate, with both legislative bodies actively working to force this kind of failed policy again and again.

📣Be LOUD on Tuesday, 04/21. Join us at the State House starting at 1:30pm. Even if the legislators aren't swayed, it's important to give voice to this issue, and force our elected officials to face the real-world impact of this harmful discrimination.

🚨⚠️ACTION ALERT⚠️🚨
The time to act is NOW.
Next Week we have 3 more Senate Judiciary Committee Hearings on 3 additional bathroom bans.
And today the Senate voted on HB1442 - another bathroom ban.

HB1442: HB 1442 is a bathroom ban bill. This bill seeks to restrict access to “private spaces” on the basis of what the bill sponsor defines as “biological sex”
HB1356: This bill extends the statute of limitations for gender surgery on a minor to 10 years after majority, causing a chilling effect on accepted medical practice.
We have 2 bills we're watching in the Senate session today: HB1356 & HB1442.

The House Judiciary Committee voted unanimously to recommend SB 459 itl (inexpedient to legislate) but that doesn't mean the bill is dead just yet. It'll go to a full floor vote on the consent calendar unless it's pulled.
In a surprise executive session between a locker room ban and an anti discrimination role back, the NH House Judiciary Committee voted to advance SB552, another bathroom ban. It's headed to a full floor vote in the House.

We are at both the State House & 1 Granite Place today for this historic day of hate playing out across two legislative bodies. We are going to try something new to keep y'all informed of what's going on in the rooms for those who cannot join in person.

We need your help this week.
We've seen time and time again repeated attacks against the LGBTQIA+ community in New Hampshire. It's time to tell our legislators that enough is enough. On April 8th, we have numerous bills we're trying to stop. Book bans, flag bans, locker room bans, and more.
Image showing a protest poster with the headline "Stop Banning: Our Flags, Our Books, Our Bodies, Our Freedom." It includes details for a gathering at the New Hampshire State House on Wednesday, April 8 at 9 AM, followed by another event at 1 Granite Place at 10 AM. The poster urges support to stop HB1132, SB459, and SB434. At the bottom, "ACLU New Hampshire" is displayed.
Take action on April 8 in Concord:
- Testify if you can.
- Sign in to oppose the bills.
- Bring signs, banners, and words of affirmation for our trans + queer community.

Kudos to the folks who showed up and waited HOURS to ensure the committee heard their voices.
When schedules are mismanaged, it creates obstacles for folks who want to engage in the legislative process to do so.

For those of you who tried to tune in and watch yesterday's hearings, you likely found that the bill you were expecting to see hadn't entered its hearing yet.
