East Weymss skeleton find captivated Fife community - what happened next? Site warden Stuart Cook stumbled on human remains in the wake of Storm Fergus. Could the burial ritual suggest the bones were from the Bronze Age?

In the paper, though unfortunately labelled as "far right" in a picture caption. www.thecourier.co.uk/fp/news/fife...

Crouched burial on the beach, a year ago today but still waiting for dates and other lab work. 1st millennium AD hot favourite with the experts though I'm rooting for the Bronze Age outsider.

The Trade Unions In Communities group have been collecting signatures for their re-instate Winter Fuel Payments Petition. Today they presented it to the new local Labour MP Chris Murray, in a rally supported by members of the RMT, UNISON and Unite, demanding an immediate reinstatement.

I've just been telling Remus about the 13th century Saint Guinefort, who was a greyhound, and I'm sure he's developing a halo. Who should I contact to get it made official?

Very handy for @wemysscaves.bsky.social. Slowly transforming a derelict back yard into a community history garden. That's the plan, anyway.

I've read quite a bit of Le CarrΓ© but this is a novel piece of spycraft to me. Definitely going to prod the next poo bag I see hanging from a tree.
