I’m sorry but Speed Racer (2008) is the only movie to truly capture the feeling of “flow state” in its climax. I just watched it in IMAX and I don’t think there’s a better way to experience this movie. So inspired.

I’m at GDC, and joining the #WhatAGameDevLooksLike trend: I’ve been running an indie studio for 10 years and launched 4 games, working on game 5. I’m an artist, animator, programmer, and creative director.
The one thing I do think should be adjusted is the iconography for items to make it easier to do snap judgement on looting items in runs. Other than that, please Bungie, leave it wacky and loud and aggressive
Ok I haven’t been able to stop thinking about #Marathon UI since I played a few hours of their free weekend. I’m worried they’re gonna streamline and simplify it like they did with Destiny over time. The friction of adapting to the maximalist UI/UX was genuinely interesting to me.
This game is so full of charm and whimsy, with a very fun movement system I’ve not seen many games do. Check it out if you like platformers and metroidvanias and skating
