Apparently we are one of the few European countries who do drink it. We do have pretty good water though, most countries have to add chlorine to make it safe, which leaves a pretty bad taste.

Is it normal to drink the water or do you just rinse with it after brushing your teeth?

Here it's pretty normal to drink water from the tap but I understand it's not everywhere (in Germany I got weird looks when I did)

Netherlands banned fluoride in 1976. Apparantly side effects like migraine, intestinal and stomach complaints and depression were linked to it.

We do have fluoride in toothpaste, but you don't ingest most of that. Teeth are fine here.
