Bovino is not in Chicago.
We did not see visual evidence yesterday of him w/ other feds. This is one reason we never reported it!
Breaking reports indicate that feds just shot and injured someone in Minneapolis. We'll all know more soon. Wait for local sources to confirm verifiable info.

if you are talking today about how bad maduro was and were alive, at all, during the run-up to the iraq war you are potentially the dumbest person to ever live
And there ya have it…
Officials from top Wall Street firms will be traveling to Venezuela to investigate “investment prospects” of the country. “The trip will feature about 20 officials from the finance, energy and defense sectors.”
There's always a lot of noise especially from folks who won't lift a finger to help you. Focus on what you want to create and keep pushing.

I don’t mean to sound extreme, but I don’t think we should have torture camps for people with criminal records either.
One way I have found to mourn someone is to set up a monthly sustaining donation to a mutual aid effort they cared about. If you can join me in honoring Alice Wong, @sfdirewolf.bsky.social with a sustaining donation today, please do. Thank you Alice, and I will not let the bastards grind me down.
‘Death remains my intimate shadow partner. It has been with me since birth, always hovering close by. I understand one day we will finally waltz together into the ether. I hope when that time comes, I die with the satisfaction of a life well-lived, unapologetic, joyful, & full of love.’

From this minister's op-ed: "People wanting to experience God are more likely to meet the Divine trying to shut down the Broadview, Illinois, ICE facility than we ever were in church...God does not live in our houses of worship, but...with those who are bearing the brunt of cruelty in this moment."
But I need your help to do it.
With defending this case on top of running a campaign, your support matters more than ever.

I just walked out of federal court where I pleaded NOT GUILTY to the charges against me.
I will continue to stand up to authoritarianism and call this out for what it is: a political prosecution.

a drawing of a blue desktop computer on a yellow background with the bitch logo plastered all over it. On the screen, there's a drawing of a pixelated dinosaur and the logo of The Flytrap opposite the logo of Bitch Magazine.
With this in mind, we are absolutely delighted to announce a partnership between Bitch Magazine and The Flytrap to reprint select posts from the Bitch archive. The Bitch is back and you heard it here first!

La Catedral wasn’t a crime scene. It was a bilingual community gathering — families celebrating culture and connection. What happened was a militarized show of force against Latino families. It was meant to intimidate, to remind them: even your joy is suspect.

Three small children ran through dust and gunfire, dodging rubber bullets to escape armed agents from ICE, FBI, DEA, and ATF. “I didn’t get caught,” one boy said. “Nobody got handcuffs on me.” No child should have to run from men with guns in America. But in Idaho, they did.

Federal agents raided Family Night at La Catedral Arena in Wilder, Idaho. A community racetrack packed with families, food, and music. They came under the guise of “illegal betting.” What they unleashed was terror: children zip-tied, parents separated, and chaos erupting across a crowd of 1,000.
Fannie Lou Hamer addressing the Democratic National Convention, Atlantic City, New Jersey, August 1964. (United States Library of Congress's Prints and Photographs division)
Today would’ve been Fannie Lou Hamer’s birthday. In 1964, she asked a question that still echoes:
“Is this America… where our lives be threatened daily, because we want to live as decent human beings?”

All charges brought against protesters at Broadview today must be dropped. When cops and agents attack crowds without provocation, they make shit up to justify their attacks (in his case, an attack waged on a cooperative crowd to produce fascist social media content). These charges must be dropped.
Over 2 million people across Italy have rallied in more than 100 cities for a one-day general strike.
NEW: ICE is planning to hire a team of nearly 30 people to surveil social media 24/7, build dossiers on people, and flag them for arrest and deportation. @dell.bsky.social has the scoop: www.wired.com/story/ice-so...
ICE claims to have taken 900 people from Chicagoland, but the state police are now going to do crowd control to stop the protesters who are trying to get in the way.

i know installing + setting up open source OSs is still pretty inaccessible to the avg person but maybe we need to speed up making that process friendlier 😮💨
We need a bigger national spotlight on this building raid, fam. Agents dropped from helicopters onto the roof. Citizens and non-citizens alike were dragged from their homes in the night. People who weren't kidnapped during the raid had their belongings seized after the fact. This is madness.
where our options and autonomy are limited so they can extract even more. just plain evil.
and it's why we have to fight, resist and imo shift our priorities towards shutting this shit down any way we can. we can't just idly sit by thinking "it" won't get to us or affect us
This explains a lot. For a moment, I wondered why they'd do something as ridiculous as drop agents on the roof of the apartment building from helicopters, but of course, they did it for this footage. The same reason they were marching in formation downtown and snatched a family in Millennium Park.
