Dodge v. Ford Motor Co. - Wikipedia

I also find the term “shareholder primacy” very fittings. Its origin is quite fascinating as well.

You got the dodge brothers (yes that dodge) to thank for it.

The year is 2026. You travel to the US to cheer for your country in the FIFA World Cup.

You wake up in an El Salvadorian prison. Trump mocks your situation on Fox News.
You’re never to be heard of again.

The end.

Imagine writing something like this just a year ago.

Sure you can also just ask them, but when they're talking to your chatbot they're actually in the moment trying to achieve a specific goal.

That's often not the case when they receive your questionnaire.

One side effect of AI chatbots integrated into apps: they let you easily see what users actually want to achieve, as they’re literally typing it and sending it to you in plain English. High-signal insights that would otherwise be incredibly hard to get.

Argentina: Milei faces impeachment threat over crypto post – DW – 02/16/2025 The Argentinian president posted about a new cryptocurrency on social media before deleting the post hours later. In that short period of time, the cryptocurrency rose in value before tanking.

I certainly didn’t have two presidents being front and centre of a crypto rug pull within the same month on my bingo card. First Trump, now Milei.

In the same vein, I always found @deno.land's http imports kinda silly

```
import _ from "https://esm.sh/lodash"
```

But in the age of llms, being able to have everything contained in a single file without the need of a package.json makes generating prototypes a lot more convenient.

It's still funny to me that you have a 3x better chance to resolve an issue you have with a company by complaining and tagging their CEO on twitter than using the official support channels.

>a Cmd-click on a client's function name in VS Code will take you straight to the server implementation

The dream!

That reminds me that I still have bunch of places in my project where CMD+click brings you to an interface definition instead of the implementation. I get why it does that, but meh.

Even if you're not the biggest fan of @tailwindcss.com, it's probably one of the best choices in the age of AI autocomplete.

No LLM really knows what your internal css class names mean, but they do understand tailwind pretty well.

Elon Musk Addresses Germany’s Far-Right AfD Party In Surprise Rally Appearance—Amid ‘Nazi Salute’ Controversy The world’s richest person has heaped praise on the Alternative for Deutschland party in recent weeks ahead of the country’s upcoming election.

People keep dissecting Elon’s “Roman Salute” meanwhile he’s at rallies with Germany’s right-wing party saying there’s “too much focus on past guilt” and “children should not be guilty of the sins of their parents, let alone their great-grandparents.”

When people show who they are, believe them.

Wealth, shown to scale Wealth inequality in the United States is out of control. Here we visualize the issue in a unique way.

Why a unionized warehouse in Quebec posed a threat to Amazon | CBC News Amazon has announced plans to close all of its Quebec facilities, laying off 1,700 permanent employees, months after workers in Laval, Que., made history by unionizing. Experts say the move could prom...

Ich vermute mal, dass das in deutschsprachigen Gefilden bisher nicht so richtig die Runde gemacht hat: Amazon macht wieder Amazondinge:

This is so spot on. Two things:

1. Being focused on producing output the fastest way possible means that you will never prioritize "going deep"

2. Going deep (and down the rabbit hole) is how you learn more: but you need to balance it.

Figure out how to do both: it's tricky!

That’s fair. I think some do it for the reasons I mentioned above without being totally dependent on having that job. Which can be a great feeling.

They also might just be romanticizing the barista job expecting it to be less stressful.

Which it is on some levels, but certainly not on others.

Why do you think this is odd? A part time job can provide a routine and will also ensure you have contact humans regularly while getting some money and more importantly health insurance.
