The large sweeping circular staircase has a chrome art deco style light fixture that descends down the centre of it. It has regular chrome circles down it. At the bottom is the circular plaque which is set in the floor and commemorates the opening.
This is the iconic De La Warr staircase. Isn’t it fab? The De La Warr celebrated its 90th birthday yesterday!

The photograph shows the circular blue plaque on the wall. The text reads Bexhill Museum. Blues Unlimited Magazine. Founded here 1963 by Mike Leadbitter and Simon A. Napier.
Recently I said we’d have some exciting news about Blues Unlimited & I am happy to announce that a blue plaque has now been installed in Sackville Rd, to mark the birthplace of the world’s first magazine devoted to blues music. On Wed Oct 29th at 2pm there will be a brief opening ceremony. #Bexhill
My favourite shop in Bexhill.
The outside of the bus shelter has had a picture painted on it. There is a blue sky with a few white puffy clouds in it. There is an old fashioned station building with a green steam train standing at the platform. There is smoke billowing from its chimney. Its bumper is red. In the foreground, overlooking the railway track, are some white and yellow flowers amidst grass.
Have you spotted this newly decorated bus shelter by the side of the station? It looks fab.

Ahh, yes. Rope spinning...
The rainbow is over part of the lake in the park. There is a small heavily vegetated island in the middle of it. In the background are a row of houses.
A 2016 rainbow over Egerton Park #Bexhill, which is just behind our museum. When you come to see us, why not visit the park too?

If, like me, you missed out on Black Sabbath tickets, then don't worry.
On the same day there's "Bexfest" (located in Bexhill-on-Sea, about 30 miles east of Brighton on the Sussex coast) which has an equally splendorous lineup if you ask me.
Looks more like Eastbourne...

What a lovely sketch.
Such a fantastic effort from the team that did this job. Makes a difference when you can see how much people care about the town. Thank you!
An historic seafront shelter in Bexhill was reopened after almost two years of restoration work by an army of volunteers.
