Canine diem!

My dog is loving this unusually warm weather here in Ottawa. I'm glad he can't read the weather to see it's going to be cold and rainy for a few days starting tomorrow, but for now it's all about the hot weather & great smells in the air. (And barking at squirrels. Sorry, neighbours.)

Give it to Fincher to exec produce, make it an antho series on streaming with different directors, adapt from books and original segments, eps from 20-90 minutes.

More from the "Never know what you'll see in Centretown" file.

Walking around Ottawa and saw these shoes neatly arranged on the steps outside a building along Somerset Street West near the Art House Cafe. No idea what the stories is, but that's Centretown for you.

The words "Girl Guide Cookies $6.00" with an arrow written in chalk on a sidewalk

Might be hard to read, but a future entrepreneur wrote in chalk on the sidewalk:

Girl
Guide
Cookies
$6.00

I spotted a number of these messages in Ottawa's Centretown while out walking my dog.

Something I love about living in downtown Ottawa is you never know what hopeful and supportive surprises you're going to find. I spotted these two stickers on a seemingly out of place "No Stopping" sign in the Percy Street underpass.

Living in downtown Ottawa with its boring and drab buildings, it's easy to forget there's beauty in this city. Went for a walk on this gorgeous spring day and checked out the canal just waiting to be filled up again, Kiweki Point in Major's Hill Park and then down Sparks Street.

March Madness isn't huge up here in Ottawa, but this Husky is bleeding blue for UConn's men's and women's basketball teams making it to the Final Four! Wearing my Husky gear for walking my dog and the 30-year old UConn banner hanging out front of my house since that Mullins shot went in.

What? Oh, nothing, just some lens-less glasses stuck into a street sign pole. Another random find in Ottawa's Centretown on my way to work.

I guess someone is a fan of Dave Chappelle's Rick James sketch about Eddie Murphy's couch and had to leave some graffiti on this couch on the curbside.

Damn, is it New Year's or Halloween? Psycho. Christine. Saw. Us. Session 9. Strange Days. The Wicker Man. The Blair Witch Project. They Live. The Fly.

What a great way to comment on 2025.

In workplace discussions, I refuse to say "AI". It's "the machine." A machine, when utilized properly by a human, provides a benefit. When improperly used, it's a danger.

"Third act completely goes to shit" is an entire genre it seems.

"Welcome to set and the first day of shooting everyone!"
"Hold on. Did they finish the script?"
"Places everyone! We're rolling."
"I've only seen 30 pages and I'm the lead. I don't know what my character—"
"And action!"
