Actually, I think the Hilary camp had a hand in the “Bernie Bros” fiction, and might’ve been the initiator of this ridiculousness. I remember reading that they did the same thing with less effect with “Obama boys.” Here’s an article I just found:

I agree. However, “center” and “left” are terms that are too broad. Progressives are “the left.” But at least this one, fully supports Mamdani. The “center” makes them sound like they’re in the middle and reasonable. But often they’re neoliberals and hence on the right, and beholden to corporations.
