If you wanna ascribe ai a personhood its that of a demon spirit, it can pretend to be human but it is not and you can never understand it and it will say and do things harmful to you that are perfectly normal to it cause it is an alien entity pretending at humanity to lure you in

But it is tho…chatting with ai should be considered like chatting with a malevolent demon that may seem like it can help you but you can never trust it and it may well drive you into madness
I used to love studying at YLS because 1. The library is prettier than the div library and 2. It felt like prime evangelization ground

Finally (and this is my Anglo-Catholicism talking), I frequently come back to what Fulton Sheen talked about as the source of his talks and sermons—time spent in prayer, study, and contemplation before the Blessed Sacrament. Nothing is better for your preaching than taking it to the Lord in prayer!
Once you start preaching on Sundays, ask your priest (or put one together) to put together a group of folks to talk through your sermons with you after the fact and give feedback. You don't want just a cheerleading group or you'll miss important things. It's good to include the parish grumps, too!
3. Remember that preaching is fundamentally a public speaking task. Instead of focusing on eloquence (which can come later), focus on clarity of message and your delivery methods. Record yourself preaching and watch/listen back. Get feedback from friends and colleagues
2. Just start writing. Use what you've learned about form to begin writing sermons for yourself. The first several won't be good, and you'll probably try to cram too much in your sermon, but just putting pen to paper is a great place to start.
Three things off the top of my head:
1. Listen to good preaching! Listen to priests of different traditions who preach well, priests who have different backgrounds, etc. take notes and outline their sermons to get an idea of their format.
There is absolutely no grounds for civilizational genocide ever, most especially when the one threatening has access to nuclear weapons. But it is a special kind of depraved, a special kind of Antichrist that threatens this for saving face because of a poorly planned war of aggression.
Omg I used this at the noon service on Holy Saturday!
Earth and Moon from DSCOVR NASA's Earth Polychromatic Imaging Camera (EPIC) aboard the Deep Space Climate Observatory (DSCOVR) satellite captured this unique view of the Moon as it moved in front of the sunlit side of Earth last month. This view shows the fully illuminated “dark side” of the moon that is never visible from Earth. Ian Regan processed this version of the image to account for the Moon's motion. NASA / NOAA / Ian Regan
I hadn't seen this before. This is pretty remarkable.

We're doing it as the recessional to the shrine where we sing the Regina coeli to EASTER HYMN :)))
What ended up happening there? I thought they were doing well!
The worst metro north experience I had in seminary was the time I had a long travel day, flew into LaGuardia, and managed to catch a late evening train....on the day of SantaCon
And here we offer and present unto thee, O Lord, our selves, our souls and bodies, to be a reasonable, holy, and living sacrifice unto thee;

I had also already used up my two questions by asking if they use phonics (yes) and if they could actually speak to the religious education element of the school
The local episcopal school gives their kids iPads Very Early On, which, if I wasn't there to support a parishoner, would have resulted in me asking A Lot Of Pointed Questions
Remind me to show you the gold set I found in a closet that is 1. Entirely hand sewn and 2. In some of the early black and white pictures of the church

I found an early set of my parish's silver in a closet, so I spent my day today polishing and getting the tarnish off of them. It was a great pre-Holy Week stress reliever
If there's one thing Try Tank loves it's shoving AI into already good stuff 🤪
oh....oh no
Is her letter posted somewhere?
I was very grateful to Bishop Sally French of New Jersey for her unequivocal prohibition of AI use in sermons and pastoral writing. She said (and I agree) that preaching is a task for humans, inspired by the Holy Spirit, in a particular congregation, and AI cannot do that.
