With help from the improvement patch hack, I finally finished Phantasy Star II. I've finished them all now, a goal of mine for many years. I knew how it ended, but now I've finally seen it with my own eyes (and damn is it more relevant now than ever).

I did get my Switch copy of Eiyuden Chronicle but none of the other rewards. And the switch version of the game ran so badly at the time I ended up playing it on game pass on my Xbox anyway.

If I get anything out of a kickstarter I consider it a win. Had a couple just take the money and run. I just consider it like a pay up front patreon. You put some money in to support a creator but whether you get any content or not is beyond your control.

I don’t even touch Twitter anymore but Facebook is 90% bots commenting on AI slop, the only reason I stick around are family members with no other social media and a couple of groups.

It’s never bad to have some shelf stable essential items on hand. It certainly served me well when I bought a bulk pack of toilet paper and a whole pandemic broke out a few weeks later.

Why do I think FFX has best combat? Because it found a clever way to use all the characters instead of having a bunch you never use. It’s the epitome of turn based combat and I wish they’d used it for future games instead of the action/MMO style they went with.

I’m ancient so “retro game” to me means something from before the 90s lol.

I loved BotW but TotK felt like too much of the same to the point that I’m done with that style of Zelda game. Also the controls for building were clunky as hell and annoying after a while.
