Once we arrived, they told us to go shower and get into dry clothes while they set up our tent. The next day, they dropped us off at a bike shop in Tillamook before heading back to Portland.

In one case, both of my rims were destroyed and it was pouring in northern Oregon. These two women in an RV pulled over, threw out bikes in the back and drove us to the campsite were were trying to get to. They were also heading there.

I did a bike tour years ago down the west coast. I ended up hitchhiking six times to get out of various jams when I wasn’t able to fix my bike along the side of the road.

I just caught the highlights. What a great start to the day.
