What do you do when you aren't working? I’m a volunteer church musician and, as of the past few months, an amateur crossword puzzle constructor. I never manage to take extended time off work, but I do take advantage of the flexibility of freelancing to see a lot of concerts (folk-rock/Americana, singer-songwriters, that kind of thing), both locally and up and down the Northeast Regional train line. What is the most surprising thing about you? Although I have three music degrees and was even a teaching assistant for an intro to rock music course in grad school, my popular music knowledge is extremely spotty. Never invite me to karaoke!
I'm the subject of this month's @pensite.org member spotlight, and here are my ~fun facts~. I'm actually copyediting from a different Amtrak route this week!
