Apart from the logo, balancing everything is quite hard for me. I can take a look into @shayy.org does and still not be able to replicate.
All of the above
Got one, but it was phishing

Me and the next two hours in Graphite Connect.
Last week, we also launched a new theme for the status pages. Check the template at isdown.app/s/demo-stat....
Have a great week, everyone!
Weekend Project! Now isdown.app/ has widgets!
We've started with a simple one: a widget that displays the current status of your systems. You can easily embed it into your website with a couple of lines of code.
How is it calculated? Via events in the app?
Thinking if customers who pay more have more users using it, increasing that metric?
It's a tale of deployment. Deploy new feature; change makes response time go up. Get alerted. Deploy a fix, and it goes down β the end.
Sunday is for watching Tottenham-Chelsea and creating a new status page theme.
Today, I am playing around with improving the design for the status pages in the IsDown.app.
I need to improve the header, I don't really like it; seems a bit off. Also, I made a mistake in the first version and should have set the same BG color for dark and light themes, so logos always look good.
So, don't overthink it. Launch it, and you will either fail or succeed. Either way, you will be closer to your goal.
The reality is that hitting the launch button was the most challenging part of this journey. After that, everything became easier. You will fail over and over until you succeed. People will tell you what they need, but you need to show them.
I'm just thinking about how many projects I left in the drawer until I dared to launch IsDown.
Over the years, I've tried so many times and never "hit" the launch button.

3οΈβ£ 5-Minute Monitor Intervals: We already had 1 and 3-minute intervals. People also for less frequent checks... And now you can set custom monitors to run every 5 minutes.

2οΈβ£ SMS Alerts (Beta): Get notified about outages right on your phone! Itβs quick, easy, and available starting on the Premium plan.
π November updates for IsDown
1οΈβ£ @incident.io Integration: Now, you can track vendor outages in Incident.io . The goal is to put all your vendor outage updates where you need them the most.
Way better!
Would possible move to a grid to a grid-2 on md instead of sm.
Maybe the hover should be more noticeable.
Imagine that you will do that, but possibly a link to "Add Product"
I think it's time to refresh the IsDown logo.
It took me 10 minutes to put together, and it served me well, but I think it's time to make a better one from someone who knows what they are doing π
Think bigger. Get so rich that you can buy the clothing brand with your name.
Also, never forget the opportunity cost. If you're doing this, you're not doing something else.
So the next time you decide, don't forget to compare costs. Like everything is not always that simple, but most of the time, it actually is.
Before, I would jump into trying to understand the problem and not stop until I resolved it. Now, I take a step back and consider costs. How much does three days of work cost compared to upgrading the server?
Growing up as an engineer or business owner means understanding that sometimes you should throw money at a problem.
Consider memory leaks. Should you spend three days finding the problem or upgrade your servers to have more memory?
The delight of seeing Bing bringing more and more traffic, but having no idea what Iβve done differently.
It's part of their long plan to become CEO. You may not realize it yet, but he's already in charge.
You should!
You will learn that having a dragon makes everything a bit better. You will learn that you should not trust anyone. You will learn not to be attached to characters.
It's fun!
Does someone know anything about telescopes?
I want to buy one for a kid. The price range would be around 50-100β¬.
Any advice/recommendations?
Waking up and realizing that a server went down overnight... FML!
Now, let's make sure it doesn't happen again.
