Coachella is trying to wipe all of the footage of The Strokes protest set so I’m gonna post it here. The last images on the screen made me cry.

It’s about time for the swallows to arrive in Japan as migratory birds. It feels like the countdown to the hot summer has begun.

A loose digital painting of magnolia blossoms on a branch. They are against a rectangle of sky blue that is itself outlined in a blotty, splattery darker blue outline. Some yellow scripty lettering in the top left corner of the blue reds ‘Maybe it will happen today’.

I Work Very Hard, And I Would Like To Try Cake

By A Horse

Hello. I am a horse. I work very hard at my job of being a horse. When humans say move the heavy thing, I move the heavy thing. When humans sit on top of me and pull on my head, I carry them where they want to go. The main food the humans give me is hay and oats. But I am thinking it would be nice to have a different food.

I am thinking I would like to try cake.

Yes, yes. Cake. I know all about it. When humans eat cake, it is in glad times. It is the food for a celebration, such as when a woman becomes 47. I have seen cake on the Fourth of July. When humans have a cake, they stand around it and clap hands and smile and say happy birthday at each other. Sometimes there are beautiful markings on a cake, such as balloons or a pink shape.

Sometimes the top of a cake is on fire and a boy must blow on the fire with mouth wind. This is the scariest cake. I do not want this kind. But I will eat any other cake. Any cake that is not the fire cake that tries to kill the boy.

Please understand: I do not get money for doing work. I do not get to go inside the house. All I am either doing my horse job or standing in my pen or eating food off the floor. I always do these things. But I have never once gotten cake and I would like it very much.

I have noticed that human children get to eat cake. But I am bigger than the children. I am more helpful to the farm. Children do not move the heavy things like me or let anyone ride on them. And yet they get cake. Maybe the humans will realize this. Maybe they will say, "You know who deserves cake? That horse. That horse whose back we are always on."

Every day I dream about what it will be like if I get to eat cake. Here is what will happen. First, I will walk to the cake and putt my nose at it like hrrfff to make and stomping my hooves to make sure it is not a snake. Then I will trot in a circle to show that I am a horse and I am large. After that, I will nuzzle the cake to …

The horse op-ed is an instant classic. I can't tell you how much joy this piece gives me.

It should be taught in every introductory writing class in no small part because the horse arguments are so compelling. "I have noticed that human children get to eat cake. But I am bigger than the children."

A cartoon drawing of a fish in water, eating fish flakes that are falling in.
An arrow pointing to flakes says "YOUR COMMENTS ON MY LITTLE PICTURES AND STORIES"
An arrow pointing to the fish says "GROWING FAT AND HEALTHY"
Another arrow pointing to the fish says "ME (ARTIST)"

this style of self promotion is somewhat new to me and I will do my best to refrain from being obnoxious with it in the future.

I also plan of opening up commission slots starting in May.

Any share and moral support is also very much welcome!

a black and white typography edit. there is white text that reads "don't want to see trans people? pluck out your eyes." in the middle of the design is a hand holding a scorpion by the tail. between the scorpion's claws is a human eyeball. the entire image is edited to look photocopied.

A digital painting done in Clip Studio Paint. A black dragon rears back from the viewer in a powerful and defiant pose, readying its flame breath. The flame is a rainbow, gathering in the dragon's mouth and throat with streaks of rainbow light streaming. The dragon has a mane of glowing fire, flowing back and around in waves, in the white, pink, blue, brown, and black of the progress pride flag colors. The dragon's pose flows into a raised talon, ready to strike or defend, with wicked curved talons. Its eye is a radiant yellow. It has various spikes on its head, a curved beaky snout full of tooth like hooks, and forked horns. Its wings are spread and flared behind. The art is not subtle in its support for queer people. The artist's watermark reads copyright 2025 Jennifer Miller "Nambroth" featherdust dot com.

Some days you need the dragon, powerful and protective; some days you are the dragon, fierce and full of fire

An illustration of a naked elven figure with four arms. He is surrounded by different phases of the moon, the darkness below siphoning the light away. On the border are cherubs whose faces are obscure by shadows with bright, piercing eyes; they reach up and cradle stars...

Character sheet of my androgynous Changeling, Réaltin with dirtied white hair, pink/bloodied stained skin and Rorschach markings. On the left, is a clothed, fullbody view of the character in front of stairs decorated in melting candles that lead up to a giant eye. On the right, there is a front and back view version of the character, nude to share their markings and scarring. The sheet also includes smaller details like their face markings, their eye, hands and items of note.

Text in the divider reads as;
Réaltin, "Little Star"
Changeling - They / It / She / He
Hematomancer - Cleric / Wizard
