Appreciate the guess, it's actually in the US!
Golden gate park in San Francisco has an area called Japanese garden

This is the most relatable part of it. It doesn't feel like my body CAN'T do it now. It is just, hopefully a painless, surprise ๐
Buddha statue sitting behind a set of stairs surrounded by carefully manicured evergreen trees and bushes.
A pagoda and a shrine surrounded by trees of various green hue
Zen moments among the trees.
Any guesses where this was taken?

P.S. It's not Japan
@clovercaveda.bsky.social this is a start, I'll definitely keep thinking on how to add tagging or categories nicely!
4. Let me know if this works or not, and feel free to suggest improvements.
2. If you wait a little bit, and proceed to the feed, you should see a few photos that are in the queue for getting a critique!
They are only shown 10 times, so be mindful, and leave a critique before they are gone and buried.
3. If you want a specific critique, ask for that in the post!
4. cont.
If you're a #photographer on BlueSky, and want to get a critique from someone else in the #community try this custom feed:
The way it works:
1. You need to post a photo with hashtag #wantcritique.
This gives you access to the feed, and enters your photo into the pool.
2. cont.
That's a really interesting thought!
In the current version, nothing would stop you from putting any question in the text of your post, but would require users to read it carefully.
As far as viewing different genres, I'll give it some thought! Appreciate the feedback
If you're a #photographer here, let me know your thoughts on an idea I've started working on yesterday.
A custom feed where people request a #critique of their photos. A bit of a twist, is that to see anything and join, you need to share one yourself first.
If anyone wants to test it lmk!
Photo of a plane in a distance flying through a cloudy sky at dusk.
Hello Bluesky friends, that's the biggest audience I've ever had for my photos, which is awesome.
It also brings out a completely new dimension to posting, whether my other photos can meet the sky high (๐) bar I feel has been set.
Thank you all for an interest in seeing more photos!
Incredible lighting! I love the street lamps highlighting the length of the street
Totally agree, but funny enough, the reason I have those lenses is from buying them with an old Asahi SP camera to try film.
Never fully stuck with the film however
Works great as a soundtrack for the photo, thank you!
That is the Ferry Building - right by all the famous piers too
I'm not sure I can quite deliver to that expectation, but thank you for the kind words :)
Photo of a portion of Golden Gate bridge in a moody lighting spanning across the photo.
Photo of one of the supports of the Golden Gate with land behind it, and a sail boat passing right under it
I've tried using a vintage lens with a modern camera.
It's a bit of a pain to focus , but results in less sharp, but atmospheric photos.
No introduction needed for this location ๐

Thanks for the tip! I'll plan to take my bike out there sometime!
I moved to the bay a few years back, so in the way I am discovering it as a child would growing up :)
Hope it keeps bringing that feeling

That's so cool! That's a lot of skill to keep the shape of the originals with a fairly small amount of strokes!
Appreciate it!

Thank you, means a lot from someone with your skills!
A father and a young son standing in front of a green low rider admiring the car.
Lucky to capture and witness a touching moment of car appreciation being passed down a generation.

Thank you, so is yours! Happy to see others feel the same impulse :)
I think that one is mostly because the idea is not fully baked yet
Kind of a long shot to have each city agree to infrastructure that only works with a certain car
Makes sense, and this take is less cynical of people, thanks ๐
It sounds like The Big Dig as they call it in Boston. Interesting that a lot of major construction like this happened somewhat in the past, not a lot of recent examples from what I know.
I've been wondering if that's because people are more individualistic, and would oppose major inconvenience now
I didn't know it had been dug up for BART ๐ I'll look up some bart history to repent haha
