3. Acted as The Hepatitis C Trust's policy & parliamentary lead and coordinated HCV Action, its network for hepatitis C professionals, supporting the Trust's advocacy for UK prioritisation of hepatitis C elimination and made rapid progress towards eliminating hepatitis C as a public health concern.
2. Helped We Belong with their campaign to persuade the Conservative Government in 2021 to halve the length and cost of the route to permanent settlement for young migrants who have lived in the UK for half their lives or more, advising on parliamentary procedure and public affairs tactics.
Over his nearly 10 years at Principle, Aidan has:
1. Supported the Sickle Cell Society to initiate NHS action to tackle longstanding care failings for sickle cell patients, through writing policy reports such as No One's Listening and parliamentary lobbying.
Meet Director, Policy and Public Affairs, Aidan - one of Principle's longest standing team members, he has worked at some point across almost all our client accounts. We thought it was about time we reflect on Aidan's fantastic work by celebrating some of his client successes!
We are so happy that this work has made such a positive impact and celebrate all the incredible charities involved in RAIRDA.

Attending the day-long committee meeting with NICE alongside RAIRDA’s Chair Sue Farrington to present our work and proposed statements.
To develop the Quality Standard itself we co-ordinated the project group and activity, wrote and circulated two surveys, facilitated a consensus workshop, and drafted the statement and quality standard for review.
This marks the first time that NICE has worked collaboratively with an external group to develop quality standards, and hopefully will lay the foundation for future standards developed in tandem with patients and clinicians with specialist knowledge.
Our work with RAIRDA began during the pandemic, when the alliance were just beginning to build their strategy. Since then we've worked with them to build awareness and momentum, resulting this month in groundbreaking policy change with the publication of the NICE Quality Standard for Rare Disease.
Reflecting on an impactful partnership with RAIRDA - The Rare Autoimmune Rheumatic Disease Alliance.

Since working together we've secured an ambitious Government commitment to eliminate hepatitis C as a public health concern.
We couldn’t be prouder to have supported such vital work over the past two decades. The Trust’s work is incredible, and having the opportunity to support their mission to eliminate hepatitis C in the UK has been truly extraordinary.
Recently we've been showcasing the work of our clients from across the charity sector, and now we're onto one of our longest standing clients The Hepatitis C Trust. 🙌
We were proud to support the Less Survivable Cancers Taskforce, which helped organise the APPG on Less Survivable Cancers' quorate AGM last week to continue its vital work.
MHA work to ensure everyone in later life can live well. We've supported them across a variety of policy issues, in particular during the Covid-19 pandemic to help secure regular whole-care home testing and support for workforce recruitment and retention.
It's always a pleasure working with the team at Methodist Homes (MHA), and we're SO happy to highlight our work together in our 20 Years of Impact Report. 🥳
Last month we released our impact report, showcasing our work with some of Principle's charity partners. To learn more about our work with the Less Survivable Cancers Taskforce, check out the full report: principleconsulting.org.uk/20-years-of-...
It's been great supporting the Taskforce's national awareness-raising, from launching the first Less Survivable Cancers Awareness Day in 2021 to growing it into an awareness week!
Supporting the LSCT secretariat, we have helped to raise the profile of the need for targeted action on these cancers, ensuring that members of the Taskforce are at the heart of relevant policy making.
Since 2019, we’ve worked in close partnership with the Less Survivable Cancers Taskforce to drive action on some of the most overlooked cancers.

"We're proud that our work together has prompted NHS efforts to improve sickle cell care, although there is still further to go."
Aidan, Director, Policy & Public Affairs said "It's been a pleasure to support the vital work they do. Sickle cell is a particularly extreme example of health inequalities, with sickle cell patients having long faced inadequate services, scepticism and even outright prejudice."
A client since 2021 - The Sickle Cell Society. 👇
Over the last 5 years, we've built an ongoing partnership with the Sickle Cell Society. We couldn't be prouder to support their parliamentary & policy work.
We're proud to work with the team at We Belong as they continue to strive for a fair and humane immigration system.
As an organisation rooted in lived experience, @webelonguk.bsky.social heard from people navigating the immigration system. The focus groups revealed too many navigating the immigration system face misleading or costly advice.
