Which isn't to say lists are bad per se, but it's a downside I didn't think of until I encountered it!

Which I have mixed feelings about with a purely game dev account, but would find very off putting with a more personal account.

I joined a few lists with my game dev account and got autofollowed by like 1.5K people, the vast majority of whom don't actually notice or interact with my posts in the flood. Now I have no idea when someone follows me if they're another list-follower or someone who is interested in *my* blog.

Not sure "by choice" is the best way to include people who didn't go to uni (or just did more interesting classes elsewhere!) but it was the best I could think of off the top of my head.

Thanks for mentioning this, moments later discord decided to block me *just* from posting in my private "I just took some panadol" channel, which would have otherwise been pretty confusing.

Last term I tried an experiment: I walked into my Tech and Design Ethics class, admitted that I had *no idea* what to do about ChatGPT - so I would let them figure it out.

As in: their first project was to decide and write the ChatGPT policy for the class.
