Importing avatars with Resonite’s Unity SDK is right around the corner!

Quick update on the @unity.com SDK for @resonite.com - skinned meshes now translate! This paves the way towards setting up avatars through this! :3

(also marvel at my Blender 3D modelling & rigging skills to make the test mesh x3)

Yeah, that kinda seems to be a trend with people who are real stubborn about this kind of opinion. I do agree with them, but also if I were to fully avoid anything that associates with LLMs, I wouldn't be on Bluesky and would be using IRC...

People struggling to remove themselves from discord still proves to not put all of your eggs in one basket.

This is why I’ve always had Telegram & Signal as primary methods of messaging me. Start diversifying your presence on chat platforms so you don’t have to deal with leaving behind everything

With the amount of time that I've spent looking into Discord alternatives and sticking with the mindset of avoiding anything that uses AI/LLMs in their code. I've come to the conclusion that there are no perfect alternatives, and out of all of them Fluxer seems to be the lesser evil of them all.

We should play sometime!! :3

You guys asked for it, so you're getting it - realtime mode for the @unity.com SDK for @resonite.com :D

The changes are also real-time synchronized to everyone in the session.

I think with this we'll have the coolest social VR platform SDK out there!

All games I play work perfectly fine on Linux, the small drive is just for making windows purely utility. I don't need it for gaming anymore.

I’m using WiVRn, I don’t really run into any incompatibility issues since I play probably 3 VR games in total

It’s not perfect! But it’s way better than it was a few years ago, and it continues to get better each month

Blender has worked substantially better for me personally. Unity is okay, Substance painter mostly works if you have the Steam version, I haven’t tested Zbrush. I’m pretty certain Davinci Resolve has an official Linux branch but I think I had some issues, and affinity photo can open through wine.
