I must have left just before you got there! Hope it was a good talk/walk with Chapman
No but I'm on my way to see her
Thank you for giving me the words to describe what I've been doing: loitering as activism
Thank you for restoring my access to Oreo pics 🙏
Also good to see you this afternoon at the Braddock walk with Canek!
Every single house on our block has a driveway!
We could combine this data to make an amazing spreadsheet
The expressions on their faces were not what I would describe as admiration
And no I was just counting on my fingers and then making notes in my phone lol
Left in any direction off of Braddock
Bike lane opponents say that if left turn lanes are eliminated (to accommodate the bike lanes) it will cause a traffic apocalypse
So I'm trying to figure out how many cars are actually turning left
This evening an older couple walking by were staring at me and pointing so I guess the neighborhood is onto me
My new hobby is sitting at the corner of Braddock & Commonwealth and counting the cars turning left
I am very normal
This is Art
A post in the I Love Alexandria Facebook group. It's a picture of a crow perched on the railing of a restaurant patio. The post says "This is an odd post, but I beleive someone's tamed Raven is hanging out at Dos Amagos for the past few days. Very friendly enough to let ya gently pet. Which makes me think it's a pet. Or I'm just weird to think so."
Please stop petting the crow at Dos Amigos
Every time I go past this house I think about what a waste it is to put one huge unit on this lot
At a wedding in Aguadilla and there’s a kid fully passed out across two folding chairs as if it was an intentional recreation of the scene that paid tribute to the phenomenon in the Bad Bunny Super Bowl halftime show. 11/10 no notes.
Unreal
In the mid-20th century, NYC planners were convinced that the solution to their traffic woes was that building one more bridge or one more tunnel would ease congestion of their epic traffic jams because the new artery would reduce pressure on the existing ones. Instead, they discovered that traffic expanded to meet each new roadway. In Alexandria we seem to believe that making our primary thoroughfares more attractive to a few more bike commuters and changing the timing of traffic signals will offset the off-the-charts increase in housing density planned for development in the coming years.
The neighborhood listserv bike lane complainers are *so close* to getting it
Three spiffily clad adults pose for a photo in formalwear
Having a great time at Alexandria adult prom with our date @martaschantz.bsky.social
What the hell
What app???
Unfortunately normal people do need to get involved if we don't want them to ruin everything
I'm really glad I did this because I came home to the most disgusting NIMBY mailer from Frank Fannon
A dog stares haughtily at me from the front steps of a house
Things discovered while canvassing:
I knocked the door of a family with four kids whose names start with K, did not realize we have our own Kardashians in ALX
I also met this majestic creature who sat there and placidly watched while I stuck lit into the gate
Haha I didn't even notice that, I was focused on everyone telling me that I matched the wall
Selfie with Sandy lit. I'm wearing a pink shirt that matches the wall at the Front Porch. Don Beyer is photo bombing me in the background
A beautiful morning to knock doors for @sandymarks.bsky.social!!!
I think that would work on a fair number of people
Hoy me siento bien puta
As a resident of the Del Ray-Rosemont boundary I am taking care to equally insult both neighborhoods in this thread
Mt Jefferson Park on Hume. The Del Ray people of course think this is the only Blue Park because they are the center of the universe
No no you have it backwards, Rosemont people like parks, they DON'T like houses where people who might go to the parks can live
