I feel like in honor of the 25th anniversary of my dad’s death today, I should sign in on this tv and share how HBO is meant to be watched, ad-free

My AirBnB is right on Lake Erie, which as a Great Lake looks a bit like the ocean.

That being said, the tv in the bedroom was already signed into HBO Max, but it’s a version with ads. I’ve been a subscriber to HBO since childhood when my dad paid for it until now at 44. 💯 intolerable

But IOWA, the busiest stretch of interstate that’s not a metro area absolutely NEEDS MORE LANES. Start tolls for the trucks to pay for it if you have to; IL, IN, and OH has absolutely no qualms about tolls

Having just driven from Des Moines to Toledo, OH on I-80 the entire way…. Iowa, get your shit together and get 3 lanes on each side from Des Moines to Davenport. Holy fuck it is so awful. Illinois has mostly 2 lanes, but it’s not nearly as busy. Indiana and Ohio have 20% of the traffic Iowa does.
