Background of multi color circles and partial circles with a Mabel Wadsworth Center logo and text that reads, "ANTI-ABORTION BILLS DEFEATED IN MAINE LEGISLATURE!"
We love good news! A slate of anti-abortion bills that were in front of the Maine Legislature this session have been defeated. Abortions are normal, common care accessed by many people for a variety of reasons. Any attempt to restrict access is an attack on all of our autonomy.

This day exists to uplift trans people and trans joy.
Trans people, both binary and nonbinary alike, deserve a world that recognizes and honors them for who they know themselves to be. Trans people deserve visibility, safety, joy, and so much more.

March 31st is recognized as Transgender Day of Visibility. Prior to its creation, the only other day dedicated to recognizing and honoring trans folks was Transgender Day of Remembrance, a solemn day focused on mourning those who have been taken from us by anti-trans violence. (Cont)

We've seen attacks on trans folks both on a national level and from state legislators; Maine law stands firm on legal protections for trans people. It is the responsibility of all of us to stand for the rights and dignity of trans folks and not fall for transphobic rhetoric designed to divide us.

Transgender people are a part of our community; they are our neighbors, our cashiers, our teachers, our friends, and more.
Mabel's will continue providing this essential care and fighting for the rights of trans folks.

Blue, white, and pink gradient background with black text and a black Mabel Wadsworth Center logo. The text reads "Mabel Wadsworth Center is honored to provide gender-affirming care to our transgender community"
Since 2014, Mabel Wadsworth Center has been honored to provide gender-affirming hormone therapy to our transgender community. Trans people, both binary and nonbinary alike, deserve autonomy and access to the care they know is right for them. (Cont in comments)

We're glad that Maine law aligns with what is right--in Maine, the right for trans youth to play sports is protected by the law. It is unfortunate that not all of our lawmakers seem to be on the same page, but that doesn't change what Maine law says or the inherent humanity of trans folks.

Pink, blue, white background with black text, and image of a globe being hugged by two arms, and a black version of the Mabel Wadsworth Center logo. The text reads "TRANS YOUTH DESERVE THE WORLD"
Trans youth deserve the world. They deserve safety, joy, and self-determination. They deserve to paint, sing, and play like all kids deserve to. Trans youth deserve to play sports if they want, and to do so without harassment, especially from grown adults who should know better.

Background with light pink swirls on off white and a dark pink square with white daisies, white text, and a white Mabel Wadsworth Center logo. The text reads "we ask our patients a LOT of questions, like when your last period was or if you have allergies. Your immigration status isn't something we ask about!"
When you get care with us, we end up asking a lot of questions, like when your last period was or if you have allergies. Something we won't ask about is your immigration status! Everyone deserves access to the care they need and to feel safe in their community.

February is Black History Month! While we know that Black histories, presents, and futures should be honored year-round, this is an especially important time to uplift them. Black history is not just American history--it is also the history of sexual and reproductive healthcare and advocacy.

We have not forgotten about Amber Nicole Thurman, Porsha Ngumezi, Josseli Barnica, Nevaeh Crain, and all the other lives lost to abortion bans whose names we do not know.

Digital illustration of the faces of six people who use birth control. There are various reasons including 'managing illness, bleeding on your own terms, regulating menstrual cycles and preventing pregnancy. There's big text that reads, 'we must fight to protect our right to birth control.'
Digital illustration of a diverse group of eight faces. There’s text in the center that reads, ‘abortion is freedom,’ with secondary text scattered throughout the image that reads, ‘from poverty, from a future I don’t want, from a life threatening pregnancy and from the wrong partner.’
There are endless reasons someone may need birth control and abortion, but above all: it is our RIGHT.
