once you learn how much training data images of women come from porn, it illuminates so much. this is more than bad to look at, it's the rot of misogyny in full display.

A fabricated statement from Nintendo of America's Twitter account addressing a fictitious scenario in which the Earth's oxygen supply is presumed to be depleting at a rapid pace, leaving humanity with mere days to live.

"This is Miyamoto. On behalf of everyone who is employed at Nintendo Co. LTD and its subsidiaries, we deeply mourn the countless human lives which will be lost due to the depletion of the global oxygen supply. To anyone who has ever played one of our games, we are eternally grateful to have created long-lasting fun and memories for you. To ease the suffering of families and children across the world, the Mario Kart World game for the Nintendo Switch 2 system will be available as a free download on Nintendo eShop for the foreseeable future. We hope this small gesture of kindness will ease the pain as humanity prepares for a worst-case scenario."

The statement is distastefully plastered with logos for Nintendo and Nintendo Switch 2, as well as with a render of Mario from Mario Kart World.

John Default Profile Picture: "No one read this statement and thought it was distasteful? Why did Miyamoto think this would help anyone?"

NintenDeen: "Simple: Nintendo is so depraved that they'd exploit a global crisis to boost the player count of the failed Mario Kart World and force consumers back into the Switch 2 ecosystem to boost sales and player numbers."

PlayStation Nation: "What the fuck are you doing falsely advertising sales during these trying times? I went to the website and Mario Kart World is still selling for $80 USD."

Kremling Kevin: "If you actually read the statement, it clearly says the discount is available on Nintendo eShop. Meaning the application on the Switch 2 itself, not the web browser version."

PlayStation Nation: "Point still stands."

Had a dream that there was global panic about the world running out of oxygen, Nintendo was the only video game company to make a statement about it, and the internet collectively spent its final hours on Earth debating whether Nintendo was being genuine or not

Chibi art of Estelle and Joshua Bright from Trails (in their FC designs). Estelle is grinning widely and brandishing her stick, while Joshua's back is turned while his head faces the camera, holding his knives. "Estelle" and "Joshua" are written below them.

"In those days, Miyamoto would come to us at 11 PM, after he finished all of his board-member work, and say, "It's Mario time." At that point, we'd start a planning meeting that would run until 2 AM. At that point, Miyamoto would go home, leaving us with the words, "You should return home soon, for your health." Over the next two or three hours, we'd write the game design documents and summarize the instructions for our artists and programmers.

It was the craziest crunch time that I've ever experienced in my development career. But if the God of Games was working so much, could we give up? Miyamoto had incredible stamina."

-Motoi Okamoto, Script and Mini-Game Director for Super Mario 64 DS, in a 2017 interview with Chris Kohler from Gamasutra

According to Motoi Okamoto, Mini-Game Director for Super Mario 64 DS, Shigeru Miyamoto would start midnight crunch sessions for the game's development by walking into the office and announcing "It's Mario time."

Fanart of Estelle bright from the Trails series. She is smiling widely and waving at the camera. The lighting is bright and sunny, and there is shrubbery in the background. Joshua Bright is in the background, more faint and less detailed than Estelle. He appears to be softly smiling at the camera too, but Estelle's stick covers his eyes and we can't fully see his expression.

Mario and Luigi Partners in Time is a good, fun game with a few glaring flaws. The concept, world & themes behind the Shroobs and Time Travel plot are so much fun, and bring in so so much to the Lore of the Mushroom Kingdom that I will always love it for that alone. Playing this back to back after Superstar Saga did make me realize just how different the two are though. As fun as the base game is, two things throw a bit of a wrench into it matching it's predecessor. Adn weirdly enough both boil down to how Bros Moves work. With them being tied to items, and ultimately money (Which you get so much of by the end of the game its ridiculous) it causes a few weird problems. First, there is never once a reason to use basic jump and hammer attacks, and severely nerfs both sets of Bros when they split up since they can't use their full arsenal. Second, because the Bros Moves are so strong and there are so many infinate attacks, every enemy, and especially bosses, becomes a health sponge and takes such a long time. Even with those two things dragging down the combat, its still a M&L game at the end of the day. And while not as great as it's sister games, its still a ton of fun. I would kill to see a Shroob cameo in the Mario Galaxy movie, and I love the lore from this game to death. Next up, Bowser's Inside Story!
