Double good mail day!
Just received my certificate from the Society of Illustrators of Los Angeles’ Illustration West 64 competition. Huge thanks to show chair Scott Bakal & the judges panel for the recognition.
Just got my copy of American Illustration 44 annual in the mail!
I’m honored to have work from my comic, Hellscape Americana included in this year’s book. Huge thanks to the judges for the recognition, and to be featured alongside so many incredible illustrators is something I don’t take lightly.
More stuff I’ve been working on. Looking forward to sharing more about this project once it’s closer to launch time! #illustration
More of the Mothman that I was working on the other day
In the early stages of a large project. Some work in progress. If you’re into cryptids/cryptozoology, stay tuned! #illustration #cryptid #monster #unexplained #mothman
Old Higgins Whiskey…Tops for taste! Cool matchbook that my friend Rich sent me a picture of. I’m thinking from the 1940’s based on my research? Contrary to popular belief, I am not the heir to the Old Higgins Whiskey empire. They share a solid name though…I need to find a bottle.
Excited to share that I’ve got work featured in the 3x3 Annual No. 22 in the Comics/Sequential category
The piece comes from my latest comic, Hellscape Americana, a project that’s been a wild ride from concept to print
Always an honor to be included alongside so many great artists and storytellers
Work in progress on a new project.
Wicked Winter! Thanks to Talleyville Frame Shoppe for having me! If you didn’t make it to the show tonight, it’ll be up all month.
Come check this one out in-person tomorrow night from 5-8 at the Wicked Winter opening reception at Talleyville Frame Shoppe in Wilmington! This one’s a print. They’ll also have the ink-on-paper analog version as well. See ya there?!
Sneak peek at my piece for the Wicked Winter art show. Come check it out at the opening reception on Friday, 3/13/26 from 5-8 at Talleyville Frame Shoppe in Wilmington, DE!
A little sneak peek at the thing I worked on last night. Keep an eye on Bayheads Brewing to see what it is! #illustration #craftbeer #bayheadsbrewingcompany
Getting squirrelly and working on something nuts tonight.
Did you dig my Hellscape Americana horror anthology comic? Do you have unruly hair that needs to be slicked down? Do you like the smell of fresh ink? Boy oh boy, do I have the (hair) product for you: INK-FERNO Ultra Luxe Pomade! Coming soon from Hellscape Supply Co. Seriously.
Finishing up some super cool stuff and starting two more projects! #illustration #packagedesign #hopfink
When things get dark, find something to laugh about. Here’s a cartoon diagram of the Cosplay-triots in Minneapolis. Get outta my brother’s city and go play GI-Bro somewhere else.
One day left in the Horror Not Hate Kickstarter campaign! Currently 114% funded at $23,135. Proceeds support pro-immigrant and pro-lgbtqia causes, plus it’s a killer horror anthology! I’m putting a few finishing touches my the art for “Murder Apes”, written by Tim Waggoner. bit.ly/HorrorNotHate
Two days left to support HORROR NOT HATE on Kickstarter. Not only is this a kickass horror anthology comic, but the proceeds go towards anti-hate causes…Plus I’ve got some work in it! This is your chance to take a stand, and read some fantastic comics too!

Working on some client stuff that I can’t share just yet. So here’s a view from the other side of the drawing desk. And a little human activity is good for the ol’ Al-Gore-Rhythm, right? Is that even a thing on BlueSky?
MLK Day reading: The Montgomery Story.
A comic book about Martin Luther King Jr. from 1957. Illustrated by the great Sy Barry—best known for The Phantom, but doing something incredibly important here.
Proof that comics have always been more than entertainment.
Make sure you go back HORROR NOT HATE on Kickstarter! It’s an anti-hate, anti-fascist horror anthology comic and it’s over half way to the goal, so let’s help them go all the way! It’s for a good cause, plus I illustrated one of the stories. www.kickstarter.com/projects/slo...
Thanks Brad! Give it a shot. It’s always worked for me. Fixing jacked-up, broken files isn’t a perfect science, but this method will get you damn close if you’re in a crunch!
Got my Bat-A-Log in the mail today! My version of the Alternative Tentacles bat is in good company…So many killer artists in this book. Thanks to Studio Fallout, Chick Lewis, and Winston Smith for having me!🦇🦑🖤
Separate your peas and corn from the Cyan and Magenta plates, @bradguigar.com! Here’s the secret trick to converting RGB garbage to CMYK gold that I was telling you about: open.substack.com/pub/phiggins...
I’m here at the Queen for the Wilmington Comic Fest! I’ll be here from 12-5 slinging comics and art. Stop by and hang!
Honored to have my Surf Serpent poster for Bayheads Brewing included in Illustration West 64 (Advertising category).
Huge thanks to Alyce Heath, Scott Bakal, and the judges of this year’s competition!
I’ve got a double-feature of fun queued up for Saturday! I’ll be at the Wilmington Comic Fest at The Queen, slingin’ comics and art from 12-5. Then after that, I’ll be wishing my buddies at Poppycock Tattoo a Happy Sweet 16 Anniversary at their 80’s/90’s themed art show/party from 6-9. See ya there!
