My new favorite thing to casually research is the weird shit people laugh-react on Facebook. Mask ads, sure, no surprise there. Same with anything queer. But also, electric bikes? The weather report? Folks are wild.

That's so cool. I hope you find some.
I'm so glad the term "chucklefuck" exists rn
I've never been to the ocean, just big lakes. Do the teeth just wash up on shore?
Are there conservative poets? Feels like a real mismatch on ideology/medium.
These remind me of Roald Dahl's drawings. I really like them!
The preface in this (published in 2020) is wild to read- a little time capsule from when we thought, maybe, that we'd get C19 under control once everyone was exposed/vaccinated; that maybe we could act before it mutated into different strains. Great writing so far. I look forward to the rest.
@hankgreen.bsky.social, my son and I were talking about the Boston Tea Party and he asked how much tea we'd have to put in the ocean before the whole ocean was tea. I told him I'd ask you. Feel free to disregard if you're busy.
Me: Maybe I should listen to my playlist with all my favorite songs to lift my spirits
Me, later: oh
Oh man, I can't wait to play "Will all the things I need to purchase for my business be prohibitively expensive now?" What a fun time
I think it's important to remember, with everything extremely fucked up and dumb right now, that at the root of it, fuck fuck fucking fucking fuck.
OMG hahahhahaha
Yes though! "I used my fingers to derail a train that was going to run down a parade of old women and baby ducks." Something!
I hurt my back in a boring, uninspired manner. Please suggest alternative stories to tell my friends and family when they inquire why I'm walking like that.
I'm wondering this too. I've swapped over to a TV and DVD player for movies, and I have a record player for the rare vinyl I own, but I'd love to make digital playlists of things from Bandcamp etc.
And they'd need to do it before I gave it to someone else.
I know many folks love digital media, and I definitely enjoy my share. But analog -- whether books, movies, or music -- always has my heart. It gets to be *mine* and it feels real and substantial in a way that's important to me.
The books I own will exist in their current state indefinitely (barring disaster; I am haunted by leaving a book in an outdoor blanket tent as a child). No corporation can meddle with them. To get rid of them, they'd have to track me down and shake them from my grip.
I've not switched over to Kindle for mostly selfish reasons (I don't like holding an e-reader, I like to mark up my books, I like how books look on my shelf), BUT ALSO, I can loan my books to anyone I like. I can give them away, I can sell them.
Any corporate policy that prevents true ownership (eg streaming/subscription models, also what's happening with Kindle books right now) is primarily about making the corp more money; a secondary purpose is degrading our relationships with each other in favor of a relationship with the corporation.
It lives!
I used to answer phones and log email and physical mail in a congressional office and can confirm
It's getting logged in the same system. What members and senior staff see is the total tally.
And the email inbox won't get "full" from non- constituents preventing you from getting your voice heard

Free pattern! by @ourkatieofsorrows on IG (link below)
I'm sick of trying to visualize whether a piece that looks beautiful on a size M/34 B body will fit my 2X/tig biddie body. C'mon, y'all. 3/3
and have either compensated for them within the pattern itself, or are at least willing to show us what the unaltered-other-than-sized-up-pattern will look like on our bodies. I know a lot of y'all are very small businesses, but surely you have *a* fat friend? Or can find *a* fat model? 2/
Dear Indie Pattern Companies,
If you claim your patterns go up to a 6x or whatever, I need you to include *at least one* plus size model showing that garment being worn. I want proof that you understand the fit differences between straight and plus sizes, 1/
