Had a rough personal week, so only sharing this now, but I absolutely adored playing and reviewing the new Tomodachi Life. Big thanks to @mroscartk.bsky.social for letting me be unhinged and taking it on 💅

This Lovecraftian horror challenges my detective skills in the best ways, even if it can be a bit fiddly Cthulhu: The Cosmic Abyss is an ambitiously detailed Lovecraftian detective story that makes great use of its supernatural horror source material

My Cthulhu: The Cosmic Abyss review is here! Really like how open this horror investigation feels.

Pragmata has blown me away right after Resident Evil Requiem – blasting and hacking in sync has me locked in Pragmata is nostalgia wrapped in a shiny new spacesuit with plenty of cool tricks up its pressurized sleeve

Pragmata feels like Vyvanse in space and I cannot get enough. Must be my second-fav Little Blonde Child game from Capcom this year 🥰 peep my review!

Moves of the Diamond Hand is my favorite dice-rolling RPG since Disco Elysium, and it's somehow even weirder This wonderfully weird RPG is like if Deus Ex collided with a clown car

So, Moves of the Diamond Hand is brilliant so far.

it's actually wild (and profoundly depressing) how many reviews on smaller game websites are now like obviously (at least partially) AI generated

Change in home prices and annual earnings from 1968 to 2024 in the United Kingdom

The median annual earnings for adult full-time employees has increased very little. The average home price for all property types has soared, particularly from about the mid-90s

I’m gonna be honest, I don’t really get this whole real wages adjusted for inflation stuff, but I do get graphs like this

a casket is has been lowered into a grave, colourful flowers on top. the tombstone is a yellow skateboard that reads 'live to ride' in green, with a white skull and crossbones and 'rip' in red and pink. a fellow skater in a green singlet and light blue shorts with a yellow mohawk and a man in a suit and shades are standing on either side of the skateboard tombstone with their heads bowed. other folks are standing around, grieving. clouds in the sky.

Grieve. The quiet tragedy of having to move on from your local spots is underappreciated. The takeaways that - almost without realising - become a comfortable, steady, delicious routine. Every time I unnecessarily buy chicken, it's an investment in future me. So I say.
