A new poll of Mississippi's U.S. Senate race from Impact Research has Democrat Scott Colom trailing incumbent Republican U.S. Sen. Cindy Hyde-Smith by just 3 points.
With leaners added, she's ahead 47%-44%.
Trump won Mississippi by 61%-38% in 2024.

Since he won the #MSSen Democratic primary a few weeks ago, I’ve mentioned that we should not sleep on Scott Colom.
Mississippi is tough, but if a true blue tsunami forms in November, this is the type of seat that could ride the wave and shock the world.

Too much is at stake in Mississippi right now with rising costs, struggling hospitals, and underpaid teachers. It’s time for a new senator who will show up and fight for what matters most

Momentum is building across the Delta.
From Greenwood to Indianola, we showed up, listened, and had real conversations about what Mississippi families are facing every day.
This is what it looks like to be on the ground and accountable to the people. Mississippi matters.

It’s Mississippi Matters Monday.
In Washington, the decisions being made should lower costs, protect access to healthcare, and create real economic opportunity back home. I’m running to make sure Mississippi has a voice in those decisions and that we fight for what matters most.
When people ask how we fight crime, the answer starts before it ever happens.
Jobs. Education. Opportunity.
That’s how you build safer communities and a stronger Mississippi.
49th Annual World Catfish Festival in Belzoni, Mississippi.
Spent the day listening to voters and connecting with the people who make this state what it is. Mississippi matters.
Teachers and law enforcement across Mississippi are doing critical work every single day, and far too many are underpaid.
That doesn’t reflect their value. It’s time our pay does.

Every conversation I have with college students across Mississippi reminds me why I’m in this fight.
They’re thinking about their future — we should be too.
Mississippi matters.
I’m running for U.S. Senate to fight for higher wages, lower costs, and to save our healthcare and hospitals. #mississippimatters
There are sons and daughters of Mississippi bravely fighting this war. They deserve a senator willing to say what needs to be said:
threatening to destroy a “whole civilization” violates international law, and any deaths of innocent civilians should move every person of faith to speak up.
Mississippi matters Monday.
I heard it straight from him — you can’t survive on minimum wage.
That’s not just his story. That’s happening all across our state.
We’ve got to do better. Mississippi Matters.
The emperor has no clothes.
Thank you for doing this! I am a former public school teacher, and I sent this to a couple of teacher friends to let others know about it. I hope you have a great turnout with meaningful conversations!
Happy Easter!
I watched and listened. You're on my campaign donation list now.
A great teacher changes everything. I know that. My daughters know that. Mississippi knows that — we just haven't had a senator who acts like it.
Join me for a Teacher Town Hall this Monday, April 6 in Jackson. Come hear where I stand, ask me anything, and let me hear from you.
Honored to be the guest speaker at the Desoto County Democratic Party Annual fundraiser.
Much love to county chair Dr. Deborah Williams, Lovie West, the national chair of the Federation of Dem Women, and all the people who made today's event an overwhelming success. #MississippiMatters
Great conversation with @hcrichardson.bsky.social. Honored to share a it about my family’s history of public service and why Mississippi matters so much to me!
Great convo in which @hcrichardson.bsky.social talks with @scolom.bsky.social, Mississippi candidate for U.S. Senate, about the progressive movement in America, reaching rural voters and actually talking & listening, and building trust & community with those who have been ignored.
THIS is the way.
Gas went from $3.45 to $3.69 in just two weeks.
That’s what happens when Mississippi loses its voice in Washington.
It’s time for leadership that fights for Mississippi.
