Surprise city council — join local governments across the country and take a stand against this mass immigrant prison!

After hundreds of residents of Surprise and neighboring cities have spent hours speaking against this abomination for weeks with only a handful of opposing voices, it’s time for Surprise’s elected leaders to finally listen to their voters and and all who would be impacted by this human warehouse.

Tonight the people peacefully took over the Surprise city council meeting to say NO to the ICE mega detention center that Trump is trying to force on the city and our state.

I stand with the people of Surprise and across the valley and our state fighting to stop Trump from opening a new ICE mass detention prison in Arizona. I’ve been on the ground in this struggle again and again. We will not stop fighting. Tonight Surprise’s City Council must finally take a stand.

ICE has no place in our community or country. Thank you to all who joined Indivisible Mesa yesterday to protest against the 287(g) cooperation agreement between Mesa PD and ICE. We must end that agreement and end this lawless agency. ICE out of Mesa! ICE out of America!

Today, after the failed War Powers Resolution vote and as negotiations continue amid a fragile ceasefire, a coalition of over 181 Arizona Democrats including many elected officials released the following letter urging immediate action to end the illegal war in Iran and remove Trump from office.

We will never stop fighting to end military aid to Israel, end criminal wars, the genocide in Gaza, and Israeli occupation and apartheid, and build a new foreign policy of collective security, international law, and human rights.

AIPAC and company are losing their grip. Those who continue to take their money and put impunity for Israeli extremists before human rights and the needs of American will be voted out.

Tonight the vast majority of Dem senators voted to block illegal arms sales to Israel. Both our AZ senators joined for the 1st time. We’re moving our party to listen to the Dem base who oppose funding genocide & war crimes — especially when just getting by is so hard for so many here at home.

AIPAC funded many Republicans who backed January 6th. And they enforce a disastrous extremist policy of blank check support and impunity for any Israeli government that has enabled genocide, war crimes, and great harm to our nation.

We should be clear AIPAC has no place in our primaries.

The DNC resolution denouncing dark money in our primaries is good.

But we must go further. We must not only decry but ban big money and dark money outside spending from our primaries.

And we should explicitly reject AIPAC, one of the biggest and most destructive dark money forces.

Thank you David and all who backed this. It’s time for every Democrat in Congress and all candidates to pledge to fight to impeach and fairly prosecute Trump and his deputies for the grave crimes they have carried out in office. Without accountability elite impunity will only grow.

Shelters are frightening for most dogs. I've pulled dogs right b4 euthanization killed bc thy'd been inappropriately tagged due to kennel stress. 99 out of 100 they are wonderful dogs.

If I were in Congress now I would be organizing to rally my fellow Democrats to go back to DC and fight for immediate votes to end Trump’s illegal war, end military aid to Israel, and impeach the authoritarian war criminal in the White House.
