19 Portland State University Departments are facing cuts or complete elimination. On 3/19 members of SEIU 503-89 rallied to demand the Board of Trustees stop the cuts and secure state funding to grow our university. I stand with my fellow PSU workers in their fight for a fair contract.

I don't think people fully appreciate how apocalyptic things are for US science. I haven't had any new funding since 2024, but I'm still ok since typical grants are for three years. This means next year I will be completely out of funding and will have to fire everyone in the lab. It's not great.

Thanks, i was confused by the headline because I hadn’t seen anything about that number before. Like how did I miss this? Yup, it was being suppressed. Shameful.

🚨 STOP. Don’t scroll. Odai is living in constant, unbearable pain. Doctors say his surgery cannot wait. Every hour without treatment could take away his chance to walk again. Time is running out and we are still far from the funds. Even $5 or a share could help save his future.

Every month the United States provides even more reason to boycott its products and companies — the strikes on Iran being just the latest.

In light of that, it’s a great time to ditch the products and services of US tech companies. I made a comprehensive guide to help you.

i was once too broke to move from one apartment in a building down the hall to another post-breakup. moving isn’t cheap or particularly fun &, by and large, trans people aren’t doing great economically. 401,000 trans people fleeing their governments should be considered a fucking national emergency.

Every time I talk to someone outside of Minnesota, we always spend time on *really* basic things they have don’t understand about what is happening here.

So let’s do a Q&A. What are your most basic questions about what’s going on in Minnesota?
