We've got ISSUES. Literally.
We scraped >100k special issues & over 1 million articles to bring you a PISS-poor paper. We quantify just how many excess papers are published by guest editors abusing special issues to boost their CVs. How bad is it & what can we do?

Excited to share my latest work in @newphyt.bsky.social. Here, we used TurboID proximity labeling with CLAVATA receptors FEA3 and BAM1D in maize meristems to better understand the signaling pathways important for meristem regulation. #PlantScience
Very exciting implications for plant cell culture and understanding how metabolite production is controlled in a cellular level #PlantScience

Someone got Cas9-Turbo to work. It's like basically Y1H but with proteomics. It however requires transgenic plant expressing Cas9-Turbo and gRNAs, which is still cumbersome for many plants that are not Arabidopsis. #PlantSciences

Thank you!
Check out our work on fine-tuning miRNA control of plant height in wheat and triticale, as covered by the folks at the plant sciences department! www.plantsciences.ucdavis.edu/news/deberna...

Check out the new spike development atlas from our lab. Great resource for the wheat community and lots of beautiful images.
Congrats, @cristobaluauy.bsky.social!
Weβre excited to announce the recent publication from our lab was featured on the cover of the plant biotechnology journal! It demonstrates an approach for precisely controlling wheat and triticale plant height. Read the full paper here: onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/...
Wide panoramic view of Sacramento buildings from about 15 miles away in Yolo Bypass wetlands. Foreground shows wetlands, water, and rice fields. Background shows Sierras with snow. Many buildings in Sacramento can be seen in wide panorama.

A grey coloured Arabidopsis leaf epidermis, with black cell walls. Each cells has a colourful blobs - a nuclear localised fluorescent ABA sensor, with warm colours indicating high concentrations, and cooler colours indicating lower concentrations.
The Rowe lab is recruiting a #PlantScience PhD student for 2025! You'll use our new ABACUS FRET biosensors to map the dynamic leaf #AbscisicAcid accumulations at low humidity in Arabidopsis, wheat and rice. #PhDposition
