My bike sideways inside a rack that you put one of your wheels into with nowhere to lock up to. The rack, in front of a long, barren brick wall with a Cub Pharmacy sign high up above, also has two tubular metal arches on either end supporting the wheel slots that could be used as real, actually useful places to lock your bike but don't appear to be intended for such.
My bike leaning against one of two bike racks. The racks are the "conjoined sideways S" kind made of thick metal tubes with 6 vertical sections per rack. It is in a fairly empty corner of a building but there is room around it to actually get multiple bikes in perpendicular to the rack.
My bike against another bike rack of the "conjoined sideways S" variety. This one is made of thinner tubing which would be easier to get a U-lock around. It also has clearance to attach bikes perpendicular in order to fit more in, though there is only 4 vertical sections and it is partially blocking the pedestrian sidewalk.
Apparently I've decided I'm investigating racks at all the nearby grocery stores for #30DaysOfBiking now. The Cub in Har Mar (1st image) has nearly the worst kind save for the end loops, and the Cub and Aldi (2nd and 3rd) at Roseville Center are a bit better than the Kowalski's from the other day.
