Foreign powers are rubbing their hands as our negotiating position crumbles. Without a deal with the EU, we will have to sprint to countries such as the US and China to replace some of our lost trade. They will exact a hefty toll in return for helping us. That toll may be selling us chlorinated chicken or hormone-treated beef. It may be letting their private sector snap up pieces of our NHS. It may be something else. Whatever it turns out to be, we won’t enjoy paying it.

In 2023 I became obsessed with videos of dads in cargo shortswaiting in parking lots during Taylor Swift's Eras Tour. So when she came to town, I grabbed a camera and headed down to talk to them. I thought it'd be funny. It turned out to be something else entirely.
